C92 — Joining the Blacklist

Thinking about the way He Yishu treated her just now, although Chen Xiuzhen was a bit discouraged, she quickly put the matter down because her and Zhao Yan’s son, Zhao Lei, would be coming back soon.

As for He Yishu on the other side, although Chen Xiuzhen’s sudden appearance did affect his mood a bit, He Yishu also quickly put it down, but unlike Chen Xiuzhen who said that she missed him and wanted to make it up to him yet her actions weren’t like that, He Yishu didn’t care about Chen Xiuzhen.

For He Yishu, Chen Xiuzhen’s appearance was just a completely negligible episode, and wouldn’t bring any substantial impact on him, so why should he bother with this inconsequential person?

With this thought in mind, He Yishu quickly put this matter behind him after adding this person’s communication number to his blacklist.

He began to seriously formulate the next teaching materials, and during the foundation stage, He Yishu planned to follow the teaching methods of the world he was once in to implement basic education.

At this time, the advantage of being the god of learning came to the fore, his almost eidetic memory allowed him to organize the basic introductory knowledge of the Chinese language in just three days.

And after three days, he finally opened the post he had posted three days ago again, and then he was a bit surprised to find that the post had now reached more than a million comments.

Could it be that his popularity was already so high?

He Yishu thought so narcissistically, but he soon realized that this wasn’t the case, the reason why this post was so popular was because it had been forwarded by the official account of the military department.

And along with this post, there was also an announcement from the military department.

The announcement from the military department was much more standardized than He Yishu’s own post.

In the announcement, the military department first strongly praised He Yishu’s selfless behavior of being willing to share his own mastery of the method of making rune cards, and at the same time, said that during the teaching process, all arrangements would be based on He Yishu’s wishes, and that He Yishu had the right to personally select the person who would be taught the method of making rune cards, and at the same time, he had the right to stop teaching at any time.

To put it bluntly, in this matter, the military department just played the role of an escort, only He Yishu had decision-making rights; he had the right to make any decision in the whole process, and the military department would strictly defend He Yishu’s right.

In this way, He Yishu’s position was immediately elevated by countless layers, making the entire military headquarters his backing, which wasn’t something that ordinary people can achieve.

However, if one thought about it carefully, He Yishu’s ability to get the support of the military department was actually a reasonable thing.

After all, right now in the entire Interstellar Empire, he was the only one who had mastered the methods of making Han rune cards, and if he firmly refused the request for cooperation from the Ministry of the Army, that was; if he refused to teach these methods, there was nothing others could do about it.

Secondly, the announcement also listed in detail what obligations needed to be fulfilled by those who wanted to enroll to receive He Yishu’s rune card training.

For example, once the applicant was selected by He Yishu, they had to unconditionally comply with all of He Yishu’s arrangements, while keeping the content of the teaching strictly confidential.

As another example, if during the course of the teaching, the chosen ones did anything that displeased He Yishu, they might lose the chance to continue receiving the knowledge imparted to them, and in this case, the chosen ones could only unconditionally accept this outcome and had no qualifications to question it.

Then again, for example, even if they completed He Yishu’s lectures and learned the method of making Han character rune cards, they still didn’t have the right to teach this method to other people, and even including the places where they could use this method, they all had to strictly follow He Yishu’s requirements.

……

These harsh requirements gave onlookers the illusion that participating in this kind of lecture training was completely seeking abuse on their own, or even pushing themselves into the fire pit.

However, even so, there were still countless individuals in the post who scrambled to sign up, wanting to join.

Of course, with supporters, naturally there would also be opponents, and there were many people using this post to mercilessly attack He Yishu in a variety of ways.

Some people said he was too selfish, he only admitted 20 people for teaching, so he was obviously not really trying to teach others the method of making Han character rune cards; Some people also said that his attitude was arrogant, that he was relying on the support of the military headquarters to make all kinds of harsh demands without any regard for the feelings of others; Of course, some people pointed out that there might be huge insider information involved; with only 20 spots in total, the people involved already knew who would get it.

He Yishu smiled at all these accusations, and after reading them, he added all these people to his blacklist of lecturers, so that they would forever lose the opportunity to learn the Han character rune cards.

This was also one of the facilities provided to him by the military department. Before this, He Yishu was just an ordinary netizen on the virtual network, and only had the rights that an ordinary netizen had.

But now, when He Yishu was browsing the virtual network, he could clearly see the real information of these disguised netizens, as well as their speaking records, personal creditworthiness, scandals and other information.

After He Yishu had had enough of browsing the virtual network, he finally closed the previous post and reopened a post announcing the results.

The content of this post was much, much, much longer than the previous one, because in addition to its role of announcing the results of He Yishu’s selection, it also came with a blacklist containing thousands of people.

Due to the large number of people on the blacklist, in order to prevent people from being unable to know their status, He Yishu also gave a simple answer at the end of the blacklist.

[The vast majority of the members of this blacklist have made unfavorable remarks about me on the virtual network, and have therefore been permanently disqualified from teaching.
To put it plainly, even if I offer a second, third, or fourth …… class in the future, these people will not be eligible to sign up for it.
In addition, this rule is permanently in effect; you are welcome to enter the blacklist voluntarily.]

Such a capricious statement, if it was placed elsewhere, the person would be directly insulted to death, but now, the most intuitive effect of this statement was that the passersby who dared to accuse He Yishu on the virtual network instantly reduced by 99%.

Although the Star Empire’s virtual network had a real-name system, keyboard warriors still existed; especially when a thing had nothing to do with their own interests, a lot of people’s speeches would appear extraordinarily arbitrary.

[TN: keyboard warrior: a person who makes abusive or aggressive posts on the internet, typically one who conceals their true identity.]

However, when this matter was suddenly related to their own interests, the vast majority of people immediately restraining themselves.

But, there were also a very small number of people who remained fearless and spoke up even under these circumstances, but these people had already been added to He Yishu’s blacklist.

As for the others, although a number of them felt that their hopes of getting a chance were very slim, they didn’t want to reduce this already slim hope directly to zero.

It had to be said that He Yishu’s capricious behavior was very effective in this matter, and the effect was immediate.

Soon, all of the people who were specifically responsible for following up on this matter forwarded He Yishu’s post, and at the same time gave their support to He Yishu’s decision.

What made He Yishu feel very thoughtful was that the military department very humanely took over the difficult task of adding people to the list, in other words, once someone on the virtual network made unfavorable remarks about He Yishu, even if He Yishu didn’t see it, the military department would directly add the person to the blacklist while updating the list.

After seeing this message, He Yishu couldn’t help but glance at Adrian and said with a subtle expression, “I originally thought that I was already very capricious, but I didn’t realize that your father is even more capricious than me, and that he even dared to do this kind of thing.”

He Yishu’s capriciousness wasn’t only because he had enough capital to be capricious, but also because his words and actions represented only himself, and even if there were really people scolding him, he didn’t care.

However, the behavior of the military department represented a solemn group, so they had to be extra cautious with their words and actions, and once any slip-ups occurred, it could bring adverse effects to the military department.

Adrian just peeled a fruit, cut it into small pieces, put it on a plate, and pushed it in front of He Yishu: “Don’t worry, father has his own measure, and the reason why the military department can behave so tough this time is thanks to you. Previously, although father was in the position of marshal, due to the collusion between a force within the military department and the Brandt family, even father couldn’t easily shake them. But now, because of you, both the Brandt family and that powerful force that has always been hostile to father have been dismantled, so you are the biggest contributor.”

Although He Yishu also understood this, he still found it pleasurable to receive such favorable treatment.

He Yishu forked a piece of fruit into his mouth, chewing as he said contentedly, “This kind of feeling where you can directly dislike whoever you want, and even if the other party is angry in their hearts, their mouths don’t dare to say anything about it is just too good.”

“As long as you are happy.” Adrian went up and kissed the corner of He Yishu’s mouth, in a good mood as well.

And at this time, He Yishu’s newly released post on the virtual network had also become extremely popular.

Onlooker #1: Rune card big brother really has the strength to be capricious ah, even this kind of thing can be done, simply too refreshing!

Onlooker #2: Awesome, what does it mean to be powerful and capricious? That’s what I mean! I can’t help but call out!

Onlooker #3: I was in a very bad mood when I wasn’t chosen by Big Brother, but for some reason, after seeing such a long blacklist and Big Brother’s final capricious speech, my mood miraculously became better than before!

Onlooker #4: Where are all the people who were acting like they didn’t give a shit about the rune cards? Why don’t they come to express their personal opinions? Have they gone to hide in the corner and shiver?

Onlooker #5: I strongly urge those of you who have been blacklisted to come out and give your acceptance speeches. You must not have thought that your behavior would have such consequences, right? Hahahahahahahaha, it’s so delightful, I’m laughing my ass off just thinking about it!

Successful candidate #1: I …… I can’t believe I was chosen! Ahhhhhhhh! I can’t believe I was actually chosen by the big guy!!!!

Onlooker #6: Everyone, help me surround this man and let’s burn him to death!

Onlooker #7: I have silently raised my torch, how dare you come out at this time to pull hatred? To not burn you to death, will be injustice to the envy and jealousy raging in our hearts!

Onlooker #8: Hey, I wonder when the second batch of enrollment will be opened after the first batch of lectures. Although I know the probability of being selected is very low with so many applicants, I will still feel very sorry if I don’t check the results.

……

As for those poor little people who had been added to the blacklist, at this moment, their hearts were broken, if they had known that posting a few words on the virtual network would lead to such serious consequences, they would have blocked their mouths in the first place!

  1. Every time I leave a comment it doesn’t seem to show up but I’m trying again! Thank you so much for translating this novel. While some of the reviews of the novel itself have not been great I have enjoyed it immensely. It has always driven me crazy when the villain gets away with saying.Things like don’t go too far or something. Then the bystanders always agree with them. That drives me nuts. So having our main character list out every single thing to stop the villains and stop the bystanders from being able to make comments has been very refreshing. Thanks again for translating this novel!

    1. Hi, I just approved your comment, for first time comments I have to approve it first, cause it might be spam

  2. Thank you for your work translating this novel. While some of the reviews of the novel itself aren’t great, I’m actually enjoying it a lot. The logical way, even while over the top, is enjoyable for me. I have ALWAYS hated when someone has said “don’t go too far” or some variation in these novels when they clearly did wrong. Then you get the brainless bystanders agreeing. So having him list out every single thing to keep mouths from talking and misrepresenting things is refreshing for me. Thanks again!
