Losing this beautiful skin also meant losing the possibility of being with the priest.

Thinking of this, Gu Yin’s fingers moved over and over again, tearing away the bloo-d and flesh that had grown on his face, repairing the wounds that continued to appear.

At this moment, he was unexpectedly calm, but his eyes were horribly paranoid.

Pale fingers tensed to the point of veins rippling; even the space around the church was distorted because of his violent mood swings.

In the church hall, the priest, sitting in his seat and reading the Bible, raised his head; he looked at the dark sky outside the church color window, and his eyebrow slightly raised; seemingly noticing something, he got up and wanted to go find Gu Yin.

But he didn’t expect to be blocked by the nearby believers.

“Father, can you explain this part for us?” A believer held a thick, small Bible with a fervent expression, wanting to have Jii Shu explain the contents to him.

The other believers also came closer with pious expressions.

This was in fact a very normal situation, and it wasn’t uncommon for them to pester Jiu Shu from time to time; this was also a priest’s obligation to the believers.

Stopping in his tracks, he looked at the similar expressions on the faces of all the people, and seemed to be able to see through their implied uneasiness.

He didn’t refuse.

With a calm expression, he resumed his seat and explained the obscure words of the Bible.

Jiu Shu’s voice had always been good to listen to. For a priest who had to be good at comforting believers, he had a clear voice unique to a very charming young man, not too sharp and not too low. It made people feel extremely close to him.

At this time, his unhurried tone was enough to soothe their hearts, a dozen or so believers sat quietly as they listened, their emotions easing at a visible speed.

He read until the space outside the church returned to normal; Jiu Shu stopped turning the pages, and gently spoke, “That’s all for today, you should go and rest.”

The believers didn’t stop him this time and only silently watched Jiu Shu leave.

When Jiu Shu returned to the living area at the back of the hall, Gu Yin had already tidied up the kitchen and was preparing dessert for Jiu Shu.

Gu Yin had specially prepared creamy cupcakes for Jiu Shu.

When Jiu Shu walked over, he saw Gu Yin’s unusually tall body standing in the empty dining room, his head hanging down as he looked at the cupcake on the table.

Long black hair covered the pale side of his face; he didn’t know what he was thinking about; his body was hidden in the shadows of the light, making it impossible to see him clearly.

However, after noticing that Jiu Shu had returned, Gu Yin’s apron-tied figure immediately leapt up, and he cut a piece of cake with a small fork, thoughtfully bringing it to Jiu Shu’s mouth.

“Taste it? It’s delicious!”

Jiu Shu tasted it, and it did have a good texture, sweet but not greasy, it was both fluffy and delicious; he liked it very much.

Seeing that Jiu Shu seriously tasted it, Gu Yin’s handsome face seemed a little nervous.

He wondered if Jiu Shu liked the taste.

But he could see that Jiu Shu liked it.

“Delicious!” Jiu Shu’s smile encouraged Gu Yin.

Seeing that his eyes were shining, clearly expecting something, Jiu Shu stood on his tiptoes, hooked his arm around his neck, and gave Gu Yin a sweet kiss.

Between the entangled lips and teeth was the sweetness of the cake.

“Taste it too; it’s delicious!”

Gu Yin was stunned; suddenly blushing like a shy wife, he nodded.

Everything was just like before; the atmosphere was sweet, and it seemed like nothing had really happened.

Jiu Shu also behaved as usual; he finished the cupcakes on the table, and then he sat down on the sofa with Gu Yin like many couples in love.

Jiu Shu leaned back on the sofa to use his mobile phone, while Gu Yin wrapped his arms around Jiu Shu and wouldn’t let go.

Jiu Shu stroked Gu Yin’s head soothingly, letting him bury his face in the crook of his neck and rub around.

Since there were no lights on in the room, and it was getting a little dark outside, when Gu Yin raised his eyes to look at his lover, he could see the cold light from the mobile phone shining on the side of Jiu Shu’s face.

No matter which angle he looked at, he was an impeccable beauty, and when he smiled, it was like a spring breeze.

When he looked down, his eyes were dazed, as if everything in the world couldn’t stay in his eyes; even such a close embrace couldn’t keep him.

Compared to Jiu Shu, he was ugly and unsightly with his false skin.

Gu Yin was inexplicably panicked, and although he was sure that he had long repaired his face, he still subconsciously covered it up and kept hugging Jiu Shu tightly as a way to ease the trepidation in his heart.

And as Gu Yin continued to deepen his embrace, the force was already almost too much.

Jiu Shu glanced at Gu Yin, sighed, and kissed him, then he indulged him.

Gu Yin kissed back as a way to hide his uneasiness but inadvertently saw the contents of Jiu Shu’s mobile phone.

It was all sorts of discussions about the ghost, and that live broadcast that had ended halfway through had obviously given the viewers unlimited room for imagination, and with the handsome priest that had appeared in the live broadcast, it had raised the popularity to an unbelievable level.

Some people were discussing the anchor’s death, and even more people were discussing the priest’s life and death.

Of course there were many who suspected that the live broadcast was faked and that the priest was trying to get popular, but no one suspected the priest’s beauty.

It was only thought to be a tactic to attract followers to the church whose support had been slipping lately, and as it turned out, the popularity indeed expanded.

There were even many people who were already on their way to Fengjia Town, declaring that they would pursue the priest.

[Don’t you know at what you look like? It’ll be a wonder if the priest looks at you!]

[The priest doesn’t value looks that much!]

[That’s right! I watched the live broadcast at that time; the believers in that town were all crooked-looking, and the faces of the women were filled with vicissitudes, but the priest was quite friendly to them!]

[That’s just an illusion! I obviously feel that the priest has a layer of separation between them and doesn’t care about them at all!]

[The priest was obviously friendlier to the women, especially the anchorwoman; his attitude is quite ambiguous, and it definitely depended on her face!]

The people discussing in the post bickered, while Gu Yin looked at the messages they posted with grim eyes, obviously wanting to take out these people who desired the priest.

The priest obviously only liked him; there would be no one else at all. What ambiguity! It didn’t exist at all!

However, in order not to be exposed in front of his beloved Jiu Shu, he quickly hid his gaze.

“Jealous?”

The soft fingers of the person in his arms stroked Gu Yin’s cool cheeks.

Gu Yin returned to his senses and sullenly pressed himself against the nest of Jiu Shu’s neck without speaking.

“Okay, I was also surprised to be live streamed. It seems like they church wss rumored to be haunted ……”

Jiu Shu smiled in a seemingly bitter manner, and then he continued, “The anchor they mentioned seems to be that girl called Ai Lan, right? It’s a bit unbelievable to say it out loud, but at that time, I actually felt that she was a bit like you, so I unknowingly became a bit friendlier.”

As the words fell, Gu Yin’s heavy head moved, but he remained silent. In a place where Jiu Shu couldn’t see, his fingers twitched nervously.

Back then, it was the ghost.

Did Jiu Shu have a crush on the ghost too?

No, he wouldn’t. Jiu Shu only loved him because he was pretty.

It was just the ghost’s machinations at that point.

Gu Yin felt that he was being a bit oversensitive.  How could Jiu Shu have a crush on that monster that wanted to hurt him?

Jiu Shu’s voice continued to ring in his ears, “It’s a bit strange really; I actually thought for a moment that it was you, just trapped in a strange shell.”

“Isn’t that a bit whimsical?”

“But to me, as long as it’s you, beautiful or ugly, it doesn’t matter what you look like.”

Jiu Shu’s voice was soft.

His words were even more touching than the sweetest love words in this world.

Hearing these words, Gu Yin’s originally black and lightless pupils trembled, and for a moment, the stubbornness in his heart towards appearance was shaken.

But it was only for a moment.

He only wanted to be worthy of the priest; if he became ugly again, he wouldn’t be a good match at all.

Because he didn’t want to lose the priest, Gu Yin would try his best to prevent even the slightest possibility.

“What about Gu Yin? If I become ugly, will you still like me?”

Jiu Shu’s voice took on a despondent tone, and Gu Yin’s heart tightened.

Not being able to be jealous anymore, he hurriedly responded, “Of course I will! I will love you forever! I will continue to love you no matter what my darling becomes!”

Gu Yin anxiously looked at his lover, fearing that he would be the slightest bit aggrieved; he could never dislike Jiu Shu; no matter what Jiu Shu became, he loved him into the marrow of his bones.

He just minded his own ugliness.

“Great, it looks like you and I are both in the same mood. Don’t be afraid anymore, okay?” Jiu Shu’s eyes seemed to be able to see through Gu Yin’s thoughts as he spoke.

Gu Yin’s large hand on Jiu Shu’s waist tightened, and he nodded, as if he had listened and his expression became much lighter.

Jiu Shu, however, knew that he didn’t.

But he didn’t say anything more. He put away his phone and leaned back in Gu Yin’s arms, closing his eyes to rest as they talked about the wedding.

Sure enough, when talking about the wedding, Gu Yin’s mood rose a lot.

The two of them chatted until the sky completely darkened.

Since they were already getting married, it was natural for them to share the same bed.

After Jiu Shu finished washing up, he laid down on the bed to rest, while Gu Yin laid beside him, embracing him and gently turning off the desk lamp.

It wasn’t until Jiu Shu’s breathing completely stabilized that Gu Yin reluctantly let go of his embrace.

Picking up the mobile phone that Jiu Shu had placed beside him, Gu Yin searched through the content of those posts just now.

Now there were quite a few more popular posts, and one of the hottest was about a few people who had supposedly found Fengjia Town.

A few people got separated, and some said that after entering Fengjia Town, many people stared straight at them, making it very creepy in the middle of the night.

Others said they saw houses collapsing, dilapidated as if they had long been abandoned, and more frighteningly, they would hear the wailing of the ghosts.

A companion was dragged into the darkness, only for them to see a large piece of flesh and bloo-d engulfing him.

And he was about to be engulfed.

The light of the mobile phone shone on the pale face of the evil ghost, watching the fear of the living from the sidelines, seemingly with amusement.

In the middle of the day, the corners of his mouth were pulled open, revealing a smile full of malice.

Zizi…

After the page zipped, the forum page went completely black, and all the posts disappeared; there were no more traces of those either discussing or asking for help.

Rustling

Another annoying sound came from outside the door.

Gu Yin put the phone back down and looked towards the door.

He stood up and walked out of the room, and at some point he had a sharp, pointed knife in his hand.

Meanwhile.

In the church, A was fearfully dodging the writhing flesh and bloo-d nearby.

These flesh and bloo-d had no vision and could only find prey through hearing and touch to keep spreading, thus requiring careful dodging.

“Miss Feng Qi, Miss Feng Qi! Be careful! Be careful!” A was a little nervous and waved towards the pretty girl not far away with a small voice.

The heavens didn’t disappoint the hardworking people; he finally managed to find the key to save everything, the ghost’s sweetheart, Feng Qi.

But after finding her, he found that things were not as simple as he thought.

Feng Qi was found, but the ghost was gone.

Although the ghost had turned into minced flesh that was now all over the place, those things didn’t have any self-awareness at all; no matter how many times he introduced Feng Qi to the flesh, the flesh didn’t react.

That was why they were here now.

In this town, it was the church that had the densest concentration of flesh and bloo-d, and from the outside, it looked like a large swathe of flesh and bloo-d vines dead-endedly wrapped around the tall building.

It was as if there was something in it that the flesh and bloo-d were incredibly eager to get their hands on.

That was why A felt that the ghost’s main body should be here.

As long as he brought Feng Qi here, the ghost would definitely sense something, and then he would be able to recall the love he had in his life again, restore his good nature, and end all this tragedy so that he could return to freedom and would no longer be trapped in this town.

Not far away, Feng Qi carefully padded her toes and jumped over a spreading piece of bloo-d and flesh to arrive at A’s side.

Looking at this nervous man in front of her, Feng Qi was more or less disgusted; if she hadn’t only found such a barely normal person, she wouldn’t have wanted to travel in company with this person.

Feng Qi was originally going to look for Gu Yin, but after searching for a long time, she couldn’t find him. Instead, she got trapped in the ghost wall and was almost surrounded by those zombie-like townspeople.

After narrowly escaping, Feng Qi found that the fog in the town had thickened again, and she couldn’t see her fingers. There were also many strange and terrifying flesh and bloo-d around her, which made her hesitate.

Then there was this man named A, claiming to be a college student who came to visit, and he also said that he came here ten years later; his speech was nonsensical, and he looked mentally abnormal.

Feng Qi originally didn’t want to pay much attention to him, but who knew that after hearing her name, A followed her around like crazy, saying that only she could save him?

Because she was Gu Yin’s beloved woman.

Feng Qi was shocked; his words finally convinced her that this person was from ten years later.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t know so clearly.

“Are you sure Gu Yin is here?”

Feng Qi frowned, not knowing whether or not to believe A’s claim that all this bloo-d and flesh was Gu Yin.

But there was really nothing else to find, so they could only beat a dead horse.

“Forget it; I’d better go find the priest first.”. Feng Qi was worried about the priest’s well-being, which was also a major reason why she was willing to come here.

After all, this place had been completely wrapped in bloo-d and flesh from the outside, and there was no trace of a living person to be seen at all; she feared that the priest had met a bad end.

She was going to save the priest.

“Don’t, don’t do it alone; the ghost loves to take advantage of others being alone! Come with me!”

A suspiciously pulled Feng Qi towards the back of the church hall.

His intuition told him that the ghost’s main body should be nearby.

This church was a place where he had died and reincarnated countless times, he couldn’t be more familiar with it, he could tell the directions and walked smoothly.

If Feng Qi didn’t follow him, something could easily happen.

Feng Qi couldn’t argue with him and could only follow.

The two of them walked for a while when they suddenly heard ear-piercing screams.

It was the sound of bloo-d and flesh.

A was a bit scared, but in order to find the ghost, he still followed the sound.

An unusually tall figure came into view.

The man was dressed in a black coat and trousers, with broad shoulders, a standard inverted triangle figure, standing in the corridor with his back to the two people, the sharp pointy knife in his hand was already full of bloo-d stains, dripping and oozing bloo-d.

It was eerie and looked surprisingly more frightening than the bloo-d and flesh that filled the corridor.

Before the two could react, the next moment their eyes went black, and everything in front of them changed.

The original bloo-d-soaked corridor became clean and tidy, and the tall man was gone.

A first realized that the figure he had just seen was probably the ghost he had been searching for. He immediately took Feng Qi to find the ghost.

But when he turned his head, he realized that Feng Qi had disappeared.

A’s panicked search for Feng Qi in the church was like a fly without a head.

This was his hope to live; he absolutely couldn’t lose it.

But in the end, he didn’t find Feng Qi but found a few strangers hiding in the cupboard.

It seemed to be the people who were trapped in the flesh and bloo-d when the spatial shift happened just now, and now they were still carrying writhing, rooted growths of flesh and bloo-d on their bodies, unable to move.

“Save me …… save us ……” One of them, a purple haired man who could still barely speak, begged A to help pull them out of the bloo-dy flesh.

But where did A have this courage? He didn’t even care that his own teammates had given up in the apartment building, there was no way he could pay attention to these few people.

In a hurry to find Feng Qi, A quickly ran away, leaving only Purple Hair still struggling.

Under a strong desire for survival, he really managed to break free, but because the flesh and bloo-d grew on him, he was so weak that he could only crawl on the ground.

He was just a netizen who was attracted by the live broadcast, and he didn’t know that this Fengjia town was so weird before he came; otherwise, he wouldn’t have come at all.

He didn’t want to die here. Who would save him?

Just when he was struggling to crawl, he heard the sound of footsteps again. He thought that it was A who had gone and returned to come to save him. Before he could get excited, his expression changed and he froze.

Because the sound wasn’t right.

Compared to A’s footsteps, which sounded like a thief’s, these footsteps were calmer.

They took one step at a time, and when he listened carefully, he could still hear the sound of a heavy object rubbing against the ground.

The purple-haired man quickly pieced together a picture in his mind of the corridor outside the door; it should be a strange man dragging a heavy object and walking slowly.

What heavy object could be dragged in this strange, flesh and bloo-d covered church? The more he thought about it, the more terrifying it became.

Snapping–

The sound of footsteps was getting closer.

Through the crack in the door of the room that A had left open on his way out, the purple-haired man saw a tall, long-haired man with his head hanging down approaching.

The man’s body was so firm it look like a wall, and his black shirt and trousers were soaked with bloo-d and dripping with water, but still showed off his muscular body.

From his point of view, he couldn’t see the man’s expression, but only his pale chin and the sack he was dragging behind him.

Even though he was dragging it with ease, the man’s pale arms were still sinewy, as if he was suppressing some kind of emotion.

The object in the sack was still throbbing and screeching, and bloo-d was constantly seeping out of the sack, leaving a deep blo-od-stain in the corridor.

The curvature of the sack, similar to that of a human body, immediately made it clear that this was probably a severed limb from a corpse.

Maybe it belonged to a monster; maybe it belonged to a human.

The only thing that was certain was that the man in front of him wasn’t a good person who could save him.

Just as the purple-haired man felt his body freeze at the sight before him, his vision was discovered.

Outside the door, the tall man cocked his head and looked at the flesh-and-bloo-d-covered human with indifference.

A moment later, as if he had seen something amusing, the corners of his mouth pulled back in a ghastly curve.

The pure malice in the man’s eyes sent chilling fear through the purple-haired man’s entire body.

It wasn’t until the sound of a door opening in a distant room that the fear melted away.

The man craned his head to see if Jiu Shu had woken up.

After all, that room was close to the bedroom, and he was afraid Jiu Shu would be disturbed.

When he looked up, he realized that the space around him was once again filled with flesh and bloo-d, and he could no longer see the door to his lover’s room.

Frozen for a moment, the tall man took a few more steps forward before stopping when he realized that his surroundings remained unchanged. The muscles in his neck tightened to the point of bruising.

Ho-ho–

Suddenly, he let out a chuckle and ended up actually covering his face with one hand and laughing lowly.

The laugh that came from his throat was slightly hoarse, and he seemed to be very happy.

But when the purple-haired man looked up with fear, he realized that the man’s eyes, exposed between his fingers, were dark and gloomy.

Ki-ll him!

Ki-ll him! Ki-ll him! Ki-ll him! Ki-ll him!!!!

On the other side of the room.

In the bedroom, Jiu Shu was sleeping.

His snow-white face looked especially beautiful in the darkness, and his collar was loose, revealing his collarbone, which was clearly defined, and his lean figure.

It seemed that someone had sat on the edge of the bed and looked at Jiu Shu’s sleeping face for a moment before reaching out and pinching Jiu Shu’s thin white neck.

The force of the hand wasn’t too great, but it was as wet as if it had no skin!
