But how could a monster like that fall in love with a human?
But what if it were true?
It would be nice if someone could really sensitize the ghost or monster, then maybe there wouldn’t be any tragedies.
As long as they… found her.
Thinking of this, many blurry and gory images seemed to flash before A’s eyes.
He shook his head with some horror.
The images that flashed by were filled with broken limbs, torn flesh and blo-od, the ghastly white figure of a ghost, and crazy and horrible laughter.
The intense sense of fear that was born from it made him tremble.
But he could never remember where these images came from.
It was as if he had experienced a nightmare that he could never wake up from, and when he woke up, he forgot the content of the nightmare, but only the bone-deep fear made it hard for him to forget.
In the interval when A was lost in thought, his companions had already rested and were eagerly heading in the direction of Fengjia Town.
He followed in a daze, like a walking corpse heading towards its destiny.
He wanted to break free, but he couldn’t control his body at all.
*
At this moment, inside Fengjia Town, Jiu Shu withdrew his gaze from the distance and began to observe the situation in the vicinity.
As the tremor from earlier gradually disappeared, the fog enveloping Fengjia Town finally began to dissipate, and it was no longer hard to see.
Jiu Shu could now clearly see every building in the neighborhood.
According to the information on the system panel, he was well aware that the time in Fengjia Town had now changed to ten years after the original movie.
The protagonists of that spin-off horror movie had already arrived outside the town and were about to enter this abandoned town according to the plot, opening the altar that sealed the remains of Gu Yin.
No, there was probably no altar in the shrine now.
Gu Yin, who had turned into a ghost, had already come out.
Jiu Shu looked at the buildings along the road.
Some of them were the same as before, while others were on the verge of collapsing in this short period of time, with weeds all over the place, as if they had been abandoned for a long time.
Taking into account the spatial changes that he had just sensed, Jiu Shu knew that there was some kind of power involving space and time fighting in the town, causing the town to be in this gap of time, and it would only be restored to its original state when the fight came to an end.
It was Gu Yin and the other object of discipline, the ghost Gu Yin.
This was barely good news for Jiu Shu.
It proved that Gu Yin hadn’t been devoured by the ghost and was still evenly matched with it, so there was no need to worry for the time being.
However, if the dispute wasn’t resolved quickly, this good news would turn into bad news.
What Jiu Shu wanted wasn’t for one side to overwhelm the other, but for them to integrate with each other.
It would be best if they could fuse peacefully; if not, he’d help them fuse like before.
In this spiritually derived world of gods and ghosts, it wasn’t hard to do soul fusion.
There were no less than ten methods revealed from the background of “Strange Tales of Fengjia Town” and the movie “Human Gu” alone.
Even without these methods, for the veteran taskmaster Jiu Shu, who had experienced countless worlds, helping them to fuse wouldn’t be a difficult task.
However, there was a prerequisite: the first person must be willing.
Otherwise, no matter how good the method was, it was useless. It was impossible for him to forcibly merge two souls that had a deep grudge against each other.
That would be no different from devouring each other and would bring great pain to both of them.
In the previous world, Jiu Shu was easily able to make the objects of discipline willing, but this time was different; this time both of them weren’t too honest.
The Gu Yin, who now understood out his feelings, was fairly easy to deal with, convincing him to accept the fusion was possible, but the ghost Gu Yin was much harder to deal with.
Although through the previous series of temptations, Jiu Shu could be sure that the ghost Gu Yin also had a favorable impression of him; otherwise, he wouldn’t have stopped his lewd behavior after seeing his disgusted expression in the church lounge at that time.
But these slight good feelings were far from enough to overpower His bone-deep loathing of humans.
Jiu Shu frowned slightly, looking over the various depictions of the ghost in the original story.
Every single one of them was filled with madness, cruelty, and resentment, and the loathing of humans had already become the meaning of the ghost’s existence.
Jiu Shu had never doubted the object of discipline’s love for him, but after all, it had been a few worlds ago.
With this level of feelings, Jiu Shu predicted that even if he confessed to him, he would only be rejected by the ghost, and the best that could be expected was to become a toy to be played with by the ghost.
Maybe now he even thought of skinning him and turning him into a human doll.
Jiu Shu watched the scene in the spin-off movie where the ghost hanged the corpse and tore off the skin and remembered that the ghost had once asked him if he was afraid of pain; he couldn’t help but lower his eyes as he recalled.
In this horror movie, the director, in order to stimulate the audience’s eyes, used all kinds of frightening and bloo-dy images.
For example, out of obsession with his ugly skin, the ghost was very fond of flaying people and even emitted excited and terrifying laughter while peeling, which was a major horror point of the film.
So the ghost’s thoughts about him were obvious.
Perhaps he was spoiled by the object of discipline in previous worlds, he actually became slightly angry.
It wasn’t very painful to experience skin peeling. At least for him, it wasn’t the most painful.
For some reason, Jiu Shu was somewhat lost in thought, as if recalling the past, the past before encountering the object of punishment.
It had been a long time since he remembered the old days.
Suddenly, the sound of a panicked woman’s scream interrupted Jiu Shu’s thoughts, and he blinked, coming back to his senses.
“Father, are you alright? Were you startled?”
Beside him, the heroine, Feng Qi, had just recovered from the pain that was tearing her eardrums apart, so she ignored her pain and tried to swoop in to check if Jiu Shu was hurt.
Although she didn’t know exactly what had happened, Feng Qi’s intuition told her that the mournful wail belonged to Gu Yin.
It was Gu Yin’s voice.
It must be him.
Gu Yin must have gotten the memories of his previous life just like her, and even this fog in the town might have something to do with him.
That was why it caused the many differences between the present and the previous life.
Thinking of this, Feng Qi couldn’t help but feal guilt and heartache along with fear.
In her mind, this was all her fault.
It was her failure to respond to Gu Yin’s love that had led to the current bad situation, even dragging the priest into this disaster as well.
After all, if Gu Yin really turned into that severe ghost, then he would immediately launch a bloo-dy massacre, and the priest would die tragically at Gu Yin’s hands again, just like in his previous life.
“I’m sorry. Oh, Father, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. It’s all my fault…”
“Causing Father to… it’s all… is my fault…” Feng Qi sobbed uncontrollably, heartbrokenly reaching out her hand to embrace the priest in front of her.
The originally neat and clean clergy robes on the priest’s body were stained with dust, and even though his handsome face was still so beautiful that she couldn’t take her eyes off of it, his slightly dazed expression made her feel immensely heartbroken.
The priest must have been shocked by everything just now.
The feeling of pain in Feng Qi’s heart even overpowered her guilt towards her boyfriend Feng Yun at this moment.
It made her want to throw away the constraints of morality and hug the tall young man in front of her to comfort him.
However, just as she was about to move into Jiu Shu’s arms to embrace him, a sense of horror and terror came from nowhere and her movements slowed down, so Jiu Shu easily dodged the embrace.
Even the priest’s bony fingers weren’t touched.
Jiu Shu glanced at the cold and deserted streets nearby if he was aware of something, then looked at the heroine Feng Qi with an unchanged expression and said soothingly, “There’s no need to apologize; I’m fine.”
“But since the fog has lifted, I need to make a trip back to the church; I may have to part ways for a while. Ms. Feng Qi should also go home as soon as possible; safety is important.”
“But… never mind, Father, go back; make sure you stay safe!”
Feng Qi didn’t have time to think about the strange situation just now; her pride was lost, but she still subconsciously wanted to keep the priest here.
She really didn’t want the priest to leave.
However, on second thought, she now had to go to Gu Yin to resolve his resentment; it was indeed inappropriate for the priest to follow her around; it would implicate him.
Originally, she had only planned to settle down the priest and then go to find Gu Yin, but now that the fog had lifted, the priest could go back on his own, and there was no need for her to go with him.
So Feng Qi had to hold back the reluctance in her heart and reluctantly said goodbye to the priest.
For the sake of the priest, for the sake of her boyfriend and the others, she had to go and meet Gu Yin.
She hadn’t done anything in this life; Gu Yin shouldn’t do anything to her even if he regained his memory.
Still, the big deal was that she would offer herself and stay by his side to pay for the sins of her previous life.
Feng Qi forced down the fear that welled up in her heart and tried to pull herself together.
Although the memory of her previous life showed her miserable death, the current her was different from her previous life, so naturally, she wouldn’t end up like her previous self.
Feng Qi was actually very clear about Gu Yin’s fondness for her; she was clear about the nature of this monster Gu Yin; he was nothing more than a pathetic thing that craved for love to the point of it being almost pathological.
He would give everything to get a little bit of her like.
If it wasn’t because he liked her, Gu Yin wouldn’t have died at all in his previous life.
Although she was sorry for this, Feng Qi also held the confidence of being able to sway Gu Yin because of this at the same time.
This confidence had swelled to a somewhat bizarre point at this moment, allowing her to even selectively ignore those horrific, gory images of her previous life.
The Gu Yin in her previous life must have lost his mind and ki-lled her because he had been dead for too long and his grievances were too deep.
Gu Yin, who hadn’t yet lost his sanity, would definitely be influenced by her and return to the kind and pure Gu Yin in the beginning.
Feng Qi repeatedly convinced herself in her heart.
“Okay, I’ll be safe, thanks.”
Jiu Shu smiled and politely thanked Feng Qi.
Through the heroine’s behavior, Jiu Shu judged that the heroine had been reborn.
However, she shouldn’t have fully recovered her memories.
Otherwise, the first reaction of the female lead, who had experienced the torment of a severe ghost, should have been to immediately flee from this terrifying town, the farther she was from Gu Yin the better, instead of revealing a look of generosity and sadness as she did now.
Turning in the direction of the church, Jiu Shu no longer cared about the heroine behind him and looked at the system panel in front of him.
The matter of the heroine’s rebirth was still approximately related to the sudden arrival of another Gu Yin.
The object of discipline from another timeline had stirred up this world.
But with things having come to this point, these minutiae were no longer important; what was important was to find Gu Yin first.
The more difficult ghost Gu Yin, could only be held off for the time being.
Jiu Shu’s fingertips gently rubbed the corners of his lips as he pondered his plan.
After what happened before, Jiu Shu knew that Gu Yin had already recognized his own feelings but still felt too inferior to approach him.
Right now, he was probably still feeling guilty one way or another because of what happened before and was even feeling sorry for him.
And because of the existence of the love compulsion, even if he said he forgave him before, Gu Yin wouldn’t take it seriously.
Undo the love compulsion?
Jiu Shu pondered for a moment.
He wasn’t sure if Gu Yin’s current state of mind could withstand the blow of the love compulsion being lifted directly.
Previously, when the ghost tried to make a move, Gu Yin had an emotional breakdown because of it.
After all, with Gu Yin’s current inferiority complex, only the existence of the love compulsion could make him believe that Jiu Shu would really love him.
This psychological dilemma could only be alleviated through slow pacification.
Jiu Shu touched the back of his hand where he had been wounded when the love compulsion was planted.
The place had long since healed and didn’t even have a scar.
He then looked up at the gloomy sky overhead.
Even though the fog had gradually dissipated, the oppressive aura that shrouded the sky was still there, it was noe even more eerie.
It was the ghostly domains of the objects of discipline.
Currently, the two were still fighting each other, which led to each other’s ghost domains devouring and rejecting each other, making it even more treacherous and horrifying than before.
If it were an ordinary human being who stayed in this environment for a long time, they would gradually be infected by the hostile aura in it, lose their mind, and sink into it.
However, there shouldn’t be many normal people in the town now; all of them were wrapped up in the resentment of the ghost domain and turned into bizarre things that seemed to be human yet not human.
The female protagonist’s excitement and expectations involved the influence of the ghost domain.
Even the object of discipline would become more and more crazy in the ghost domain; if things continued like this, perhaps even space and time would become more distorted.
Jiu Shu’s gaze swept over the shadows at the windows of the buildings along the road.
There was only the sound of his footsteps on the excessively quiet street, not even a hint of wind could be heard, making it seem more and more bizarre.
It seemed that he was really the only one who existed.
But Jiu Shu knew that there was a line of sight that never left.
“Gu Yin?”
Jiu Shu suddenly called out the name of the object of discipline, “Can you come out and meet me?”
“I miss you.”
Jiu Shu knew that for a severe ghost that possessed a ghost domain, everything within the ghost domain was as clear as day to it and could be reached in an instant.
However, Jiu Shu was silent for a long time, yet no movement appeared in the vicinity.
Only after a long time did the priest standing on the street hang his head in what appeared to be disappointment and continue walking in the direction of the church.
Hiss–
The figure of the priest gradually faded away; not far behind him, at the corner of the street, a pale, dead arm carefully pressed against the wall, he seemed to have been watching the priest for a long time.
He was obviously very close, but the priest was oblivious to this.
“….. ” The priest said he missed him.
The owner of the pale arm felt unusually joyful because of these words.
He was obviously a tall and strong man, but he couldn’t control his trembling, and he stroked his cheeks, as if trying to hide the shyness on his face like a young girl.
But corpses didn’t have temperature.
So there was no blush on his face, only traces of tears that fell silently from excitement.
He was so happy that the priest said he missed him.
Even though it was a false sentiment brought on by the love compulsion, it still couldn’t help but mesmerize him.
Jab-
In the excitement, pale fingertips sank into the suture-covered skin of his face and viciously tore it off.
The thin layer of flesh was ripped off like a sticky sticker, revealing the bloo-dy musculature beneath the skin.
Again and again until there were no more stitches on the face.
“Huh …” Cold, sticky, dark red bloo-d flowed down in large streams, staining most of his body.
Obviously he was already a corpse, but he still bled. But the good thing was that he wouldn’t keep recovering like he did when he was alive, constantly reverting to his ugly appearance.
Although the power taken from the ghost had caused him to lose his fresh body, it had also allowed him to finally free himself from the shackles of his former self.
Great, great.
He finally became beautiful.
Like Feng Qi, no, more beautiful than Feng Qi.
Pretty enough to stand in front of the priest and be loved by him.
Seemingly caught up in some kind of beautiful fantasy, he touched his cheeks, which only had flesh and blo-od muscle left, and laughed out lowly, actually appearing morbidly shy.
The nearby ghost domain gave birth to many ghostly and shapeless things as his mood changed.
In the corners of the walls and alleys, there were also dense and slender insects crawling around excitedly.
His hands were already stained red with his own oozing bloo-d, but he remained unaware and continued to happily tear at his skin, as if the more he tore, the closer he was to the beautiful future in his imagination.
But in truth, he knew that this wasn’t enough.
He hadn’t plundered enough from his other self.
He needed softer skin.
Better looking, better looking, better looking!!!
To look better—to be worthy of his priest.
His pupils were hollow as he frantically thought.
Suddenly remembering the look of disappointment on the priest’s face just moments ago, his fingers on his cheeks sank violently deep into the sticky, bloo-dy flesh of the oozing tissue fluid, viciously scraping across the scarlet muscles of his face, leaving two deep bloo-dy marks.
One could almost see the white bones.
Turning from joy to sorrow, the mixed emotions of sadness and anger made it difficult to control himself; the shift in emotions was extremely fast, and the ghost was clearly in an extremely unstable state.
There were even a few moments that resembled his other self.
He had caused the priest grief.
He didn’t want to; he wanted to see the priest too, but not yet.
He had made so many mistakes and sins that were unforgivable.
Besides, he hadn’t gotten any better looking now, and the damned ghost hadn’t gone away yet.
The ghost would hurt the priest and cause him to get hurt.
Oooh-
A hoarse sobbing sound rang out.
The broad shoulders of Gu Yin, who was crying with his head down, trembled slightly.
The muscle lines of his shoulder and neck showed how strong he was, his skin was as pale as a carved plaster statue, and his pale arm muscles were taut, as if they were repressing some kind of emotion that was so intense that it was difficult to control.
It took a while before he raised his head.
Between the blo-od-stained fingertips, his black eyes no longer revealed the clarity of the past, rather it was now filled with deep-seated resentment, almost as if he had assimilated with the fierce ghost.
The loathing for himself eventually spread into hatred for the other self.
No, it wasn’t his fault; it was the ghost!
It was all that ghost’s fault! It was all its fault!
He wanted to find the ghost, to tear off every piece of its flesh and shred it like it did in its previous life!
Only then could he be forgiven by the priest.
As Gu Yin’s resentment grew deeper and deeper, the Fengjia Town Ghost Domain became more and more eerie.
The sky was getting darker and darker, the air seemed to be filled with the smell of dampness, and swaying ghostly shadows were coming out of the houses and spreading.
That was Gu Yin’s power frantically tearing into the other half of the ghost domain; in contrast, the other half of the ghost domain was also unwillingly counterattacking, devouring those ghostly shadows one by one.
Between them, Fengjia Town maintained a subtle calm before the storm.
And in the distance, Jiu Shu’s dusty shoes stopped, and he looked back behind him, his dark eyes making it impossible to see his emotions in the dim sky.
That scene had disappeared.
It looks like he was off to find the other object of discipline.
*
At this time, the mountaineers outside the town had already arrived at Fengjia Town.
They who were originally talking and laughing were now running for their lives.
Because they were being followed by a bizarre monster behind them.
It was a middle-aged man with shriveled skin that resembled a zombie’s, and at this moment, he was hissing something while chasing these intruders.
“It’s all your fault! Why did you go over to provoke him just now?”
The crowd ran out of breath and couldn’t help but complain about the person who provoked the monster.
A, the one who provoked the monster, was running with a pale face and wanted to get angry after being complained about, but he held back as he focused on running for his life.
He felt that it couldn’t all be blamed on him.
It all started when he first entered the town.
As a paranormal photography enthusiast, A was too busy taking pictures as soon as he came in, wanting to post them to increase his followers, and he had no time to think about anything else.
Unexpectedly, as the camera made a noise, a middle-aged stranger appeared in the frame, bending over and searching for something on the roadside, seemingly muttering something to himself.
You have to know that Fengjia Town was a town that had been abandoned for ten years. How could a big living person suddenly appear? Any normal person who saw this scene would be shocked.
A was no exception.
But in the end, he still summoned up the courage to get closer and ask about the situation, guessing that it might just be a backpacker who broke into this place to explore like them.
Who knew that when they got closer, they saw the shriveled face of the middle-aged man, which showed that he had been dead for a few years and was obviously not a normal person?
And after getting closer, A also finally heard the words coming out of his mouth, “Find the eyes.”
“Be fast… Hurry up… He’s going to be angry…” Hearing this weird murmur, A’s heart inexplicably tightened, and as soon as he lowered his head, he saw that the middle-aged man had actually been rummaging through a pile of animal corpses.
The strong putrid odor stimulated A to take a few steps back on the spot, and the other people also screamed in fear.
Then came the scene where the middle-aged man was startled by the screams and lunged towards them.
It wasn’t his fault at all!
The crowd themselves screamed and startled the monster, yet they even blamed him.
These once-befriended classmates usually acted well, but now they dumped the blame when things went wrong; they really weren’t good people.
A was so angry that he wanted to curse.
But he couldn’t do anything; now he only cared about running for his life.
After all, no one knew what would happen after being approached by this middle-aged man.
The desire for survival in the human genes made them run faster and faster.
But they didn’t know why; they seemed to have been circling around in the same place; the exit of the town that was clearly visible before was nowhere to be seen.
The middle-aged man behind them, however, was getting closer and closer, hissing as he ran, “Are the eyes at your place?”
“I’m so f*cked! What the hell is this guy? What eyes ah! Who knows where that thing is?” One of the male students was so scared that he was swearing, and his face was pale.
As they drew closer to the monster, the few people became more and more panicked, wandering around like headless flies, not knowing how to dodge.
The houses over here were all locked; there was no way to get in.
“Why don’t we go up and fight with him? Maybe he’s acting! With so many of us, can’t we handle him?”
“Uh, then who will line up in front first?”
“Eh ……” After a short silence, someone else came up with a brilliant idea.
“I have an idea; that monster has been looking for something; let’s just take something and pretend it’s what he’s looking for, we can throw it to the other side, and then while he’s looking for it, let’s run to that apartment building over there!”
The dilapidated apartment building not far ahead was open, and it was only at this moment that they realized that as long as they ducked in and closed the door behind them, they wouldn’t have to be afraid of this monster.
“You think it’s dog training!? How can it be effective?”
“Then do you have any other fu-cking way?”
Several people felt that this method was unreliable and they shouted at each other, arguing with red faces.
But there was really no other way they could think of.
The person closest to the monster casually picked up a rock and shouted at the middle-aged man, “I found the eye; here it is!”
Then, as a last option, he threw it a long way in the opposite direction.
Luckily, the middle-aged man’s obviously low IQ really thought that the stone was what he was looking for, and he turned his head to chase after it.
The crowd breathed a sigh of relief and took advantage of this opening to run towards the apartment building, but A, who had been running after the crowd in a trance, stopped at that moment.
He seemed to sense something and looked back in the direction of the middle-aged man.
In the next moment, a scream of extreme fear was suddenly heard.
With a jolt, the crowd realized that it was A who was paralyzed with horror; as if he had just awakened from a nightmare, his body was drenched in sweat and his eyes were wide open as he looked in the direction of the middle-aged man just now.
The crowd also looked over and saw an extremely gruesome scene.
The middle-aged man was originally holding the stone as if it were a treasure, but in the next moment, it seemed that something had come here along with the sound. The middle-aged man screamed in agony, and his skin slowly swelled.
His head cracked open like papier-mâché, and countless grayish-white fingers raked the narrow slit and surged outward.
Then, a pale woman’s hands painted with red nail polish poked out of the slit, followed by another arm belonging to a man with well-defined muscles.
The only thing these two arms had in common was that they were all pale and even had corpse stains if you looked closely.
The bizarre scene was far from over, and the other two arms also emerged in a twisted posture with the creaking sound of dislocated joints echoing incessantly.
Slowly, a pale humanoid creature crawled out of the middle-aged man’s skull.
Scattered black hair covered the humanoid’s head, making it impossible to see his face, and only a pale chin could be seen.
The upper half of the body that had just crawled out of the body was split open, as if it had been viciously torn apart by a machete, and not a single drop of bloo-d flowed out of the dried veins, so only broad shoulders belonging to a male could be vaguely seen.
As well as a bloo-dy hole in the chest and abdomen.
Following the direction of the muscles in the man’s chest and abdomen, one could see the huge wound that had been torn open and could even see the mutilated internal organs in it through that hole.
Just by looking at it, one could imagine the intense pain when he felt when he was torn apart.
This was undoubtedly a corpse that should be laid out in a morgue, but at this moment it was crawling around in a horrifying manner.
“It hurts—it hurts.”
“How dare you… damned… damn…”
The voice of the fierce ghost was like the rustling sound of bloo-d stuck in the throat and the vocal cords, which couldn’t be heard clearly.
The voice was full of resentment but also seemed to be the unconscious murmur of the ghost.
Everyone was in shock, and all they could see was the twisted and broken arms of the fierce ghost, they were like a rusty machine.
While muttering, it moved sluggishly as it groped the ground.
It seemed to be completely oblivious to the crowd across the street.
Having had too much power taken away from it in the fight for the body with Gu Yin, the ghost now had no sanity left to speak of.
It turned into a severe ghost that only followed its instincts, only wanting to find its organs that were taken away.
It was even close to forgetting who had taken its organs from it.
Soon its arm that was groping for its eyes stopped.
It touched a stone instead of the eyes it was looking for.
Clearly, it had been deceived.
The eyes that had been robbed weren’t here.
Ho–
The ghost let out a weird, airy sound in its throat.
The irrational ghost was completely unable to think properly right now.
It only knew that it had been deceived.
It then acted like a machine that would only follow specific laws to make those outsiders who dared to deceive it pay.
The ghost raised its head in the direction of A, revealing a ghastly white face and eyes that had been gouged out of their sockets.
Although it was even more mutilated and miserable than he remembered, A instantly recognized this ghastly being.
It was the ghost that had trapped him in the town to repeat the cycle of death, with a perpetually insane smile on his face, tyrannical to the core.
He remembered, remembered everything.
“It’s Him, it’s Him! Run quickly! Run!”
Seeing the ghost crawl over with resentment, A screamed madly, got up from the ground, and ran into the apartment building in front of him.
The others also came back to their senses and scrambled towards the apartment building.
In response, the expression on the ghost’s face didn’t change.
There were no eyeballs in the blo-od-stained sockets, yet the cold and gruesome k-illing intent could still be felt.
It instinctively loathed the living and wanted to tear them all apart.
Just like it wanted to tear its other self apart. Who was the other self?
The ghost could no longer recall.
All its muddled brain knew was that it wanted to ki-ll the humans who had taken refuge in the apartment building.
It crawled with its remaining limbs, the broken and shattered bones at the serpent’s tail making a piercing clicking sound as it moved, its posture was both grotesque and twisted.
The crawl wasn’t fast, it could even be considered slow.
But the visual horror could bring an extremely strong sense of fear to all those who witnessed this scene.
Even through the glass door of the apartment building, the crowd was scared senseless.
What was even more terrifying was that in the next second after the door closed, the ghost that was still outside disappeared.
“It’s gone.”
The backpackers stared blankly at the empty street outside the glass door, not knowing what had happened.
“The ghost is gone; we’re saved! Woohoo- ” For a while, the crowd thought they were saved and went limp.
Just as they tried to relax their taut nerves, they heard a shuddering shush from A, who was huddled in the corner.
“Shhh-quiet.”
Unsure, the crowd twisted their heads to look at A.
But they saw A’s face turn pale as he spoke, “Haven’t you guys noticed that there’s one more person here?”
“There were eight of us; now there are nine.”
As the words fell, they froze; the crowd shuddered and looked around, counting over and over again.
The number remained nine.
Apparently, the dead-faced corpse was watching them from beside them at that moment.
The ghost was hiding in their midst, and they couldn’t find it in any way.
TN:
I aspire to be as delusional as the heroine in this arc, my life would be extremely smooth 😌🤲
Thank you so much for the chapters!!
Spooky! Thank you for the chapter!
