C104.2— [ 4.17 — The Shelter]
by UntamedS“No, we were just playing a game.” Xi Han B’s brain went blank, and he subconsciously explained.
Jiu Shu raised his eyebrows slightly, thinking that the object of punishment was more or less confused.
Using the same reason once was enough.
Facing Jiu Shu’s gaze, Xi Han B avoided it somewhat sheepishly.
Xi Han A was also a bit uneasy; he covered his neck with a partially well-behaved smile.
In order to show that he was fine.
It was as if the blo*od that had already stained his clothes was just ketchup.
Jiu Shu felt completely helpless.
Just when he wanted to say something, Duan An finally couldn’t help himself.
He spoke out with an expression of concern and extended a helping hand to Jiu Shu.
“Quick! Come with me, number 301; I’ll take you out of here, and Xi Han won’t be able to stop you!”
Duan An felt that Jiu Shu must have been coerced by Xi Han.
Although Xi Han used to hate monsters, it seemed that he had fallen in love with Jiu Shu as well.
No, perhaps he was just like those superficial netizens who were infatuated with Jiu Shu’s body.
And for that reason, he also used the power in his hands to force No. 301 into submission.
Number 301 was really too pitiful.
Duan An felt the pity in his heart grow even stronger, wanting to save Jiu Shu from Xi Han.
He now had a g-un in his hand and was still somewhat confident.
But in the next second, the g-un in his hand was unloaded.
Xi Han C could easily subdue Duan An and his companion, two unarmed members of the Protection Organization, even with his arm injury.
There weren’t many people who could deal with the shelters.
Every researcher who could become a base supervisor had abilities that were beyond the reach of ordinary people and were not as incompetent as most people thought.
Duan An and his companion were viciously thrown aside.
Duan An, in particular, had been kicked, and several of his ribs were broken, and now even his speech was weak and feeble.
Xi Han C put away his g-un as if nothing had happened, as if he hadn’t deliberately laid a harsh hand on Duan An.
After synchronizing their memories, Duan An and his companion’s lofty appraisal, as well as their undisguised covetousness for Jiu Shu, had been made known to all the consciousness bodies.
Without exception, every single body of consciousness didn’t have much goodwill toward him.
If it wasn’t for the fact that Jiu Shu was still in front of him and he needed to maintain a good image, that kick just now wouldn’t have only broken his ribs.
“301?Why?”
Duan An looked at Jiu Shu incredulously.
Jiu Shu, however, didn’t even look at him.
It was as if he was just a stranger in his eyes, not even worth a glance.
But they obviously got along very happily at first, so why was he suddenly so cold to him?
Duan An became frustrated, but he still thought that it was Xi Han’s doing, so he tried his best to say loudly, “No. 301, you may not believe me, but you must stay far away from Xi Han; he will k-ill you! He doesn’t really love you; he just wants to dissect you.”
“Just like he did to those poor shelters before, he’s a sociopath with no empathy; he can’t be trusted at all!”
Duan An’s gaze rested on Jiu Shu, expecting him to look back at him.
Not noticing in the slightest that along with his weak voice came the ghastly gazes cast by all four Xi Hans at the same time.
The companion did notice.
He cowered in fear, inexplicably feeling that, despite their different features, these men had similar facial expressions.
It was almost as if they were the same person.
The grotesque scene made his fear grow.
He had to k*ill this mouthy fellow.
The anger in Xi Han’s eyes was almost as if it was going to flow out, but the next second, his palm was held by Jiu Shu.
Jiu Shu’s beautiful almond shaped eyes glanced at Duan An.
Duan An was stunned, then he was ecstatic, feeling that Jiu Shu had finally listened.
Now it must be time for him to join him in getting rid of Xi Han’s control.
However, what he didn’t expect was that Jiu Shu quickly withdrew his gaze.
His voice was faint. “I don’t need you to bother about me and my lover.”
Lover.
Jiu Shu said that he was his lover.
Jiu Shu admitted that he was his lover in front of the others.
I am Jiu Shu’s favorite person!
The four of Xi Han’s eyes glowed at the same time.
The amber eyes that looked at Jiu Shu all trembled, and the scarlet that spread at the base of their ears extended all the way to their cheeks.
“I just want to protect you; we’re the ones who really want to protect the shelters and can give everything for shelters; blo*od-stained people like Xi Han will only hurt you!”
Duan An was emotional, trying hard to convince Jiu Shu.
He couldn’t understand why Jiu Shu would follow someone who could dissect him at any time.
Instead of following those of them who were bent on protecting him.
They were the better choice, not that evil Xi Han.
Jiu Shu seemed to be getting a little impatient.
His brows furrowed, and his pupils held a hurtful detachment and indifference. “Xi Han is fine, much better than you.”
After a pause, Jiu Shu’s tone was flat. “Besides, are you really such a selfless person?”
No shelters had actually hurt Dua An in the original story, so he had always been filled with sympathy for the shelters.
But Jiu Shu didn’t really think that Duan An was a person who could give everything to the shelters.
Perhaps there was sympathy, but when that sympathy couldn’t bring any benefits and could only bring endless trouble, would he still be so addicted to helping?
Jiu Shu, who had gone through the original plot so many times, was skeptical.
As if Duan An was hurt by Jiu Shu’s tone, and as if he was unable to refute it, he didn’t make a sound for a long time.
Jiu Shu was also not interested in dwelling on it with him.
In the end, Duan An could only watch as Jiu Shu left, surrounded by Xi Han’s people.
Looking at Jiu Shu’s distant back, he and his companion were disappointed.
The change in Jiu Shu was something they had never expected.
It was surprising that he would really develop feelings for Xi Han and even call the other party his lover.
Could such feelings really happen to someone as sinful as Xi Han?
Duan An didn’t know, but with the facts already in front of him, there was no way for him not to believe it.
The hidden thoughts hidden in his heart completely shattered to pieces at this moment.
The companion withdrew his gaze a long time after Jiu Shu’s back had disappeared.
Although he had already seen the photos many times, the beauty of 301 was something that the photos couldn’t match.
In reality, he was even more beautiful and heartwarming.
However, the companion also found that No. 301’s relationship with Duan An wasn’t as good as he had imagined, and he could even be considered a stranger.
It wasn’t at all as close as Duan An had displayed in his words.
This made the companion more or less disappointed in Duan An, feeling that he was full of lies.
Duan An lowered his head in loss, not looking at his companion’s questioning eyes.
His purpose was to come and save the shelters at this base.
Although Jiu Shu had rejected him, there were other shelters waiting for him.
So he couldn’t stay here any longer.
“Let’s go; there are other shelters waiting.”
Duan An braced his body, which was in more than a little pain, and got up, limping in the direction of where the shelter area was.
The companion still looked somewhat lingeringly in the direction that Jiu Shu had left, and only after a long while did he follow Duan An onward.
They were running out of time; the alarm in the base had been sounded for a long time now, and it would be too late if they didn’t release the shelters.
It was just a pity that their main task of releasing No. 301 wasn’t completed.
He hoped that No. 301 would really be happy.
Although the companion didn’t really believe that Xi Han, that ferocious to the core man, would really fall in love with No. 301, there was nothing he could do about it now.
Duan An and his companion’s faces wore a similar despondency.
Just like that, along the way, they came across a small shelter that had escaped.
It was scaly, pitifully shielding the child behind it.
The small size and large eyes were enough to stir the protective desire within humans.
The companion signaled to Duan An to be careful; although many of the sheltered creatures in this base were innocent, there were also many that had become crazier and crazier during the experiments and had a tendency to hurt people.
They didn’t have a gu-n in their hands right now, so all caution was best.
But as Duan An looked at this poor shelter, it was as if his ears were ringing again with Jiu Shu’s words, “Are you really such a selfless person?”
Of course he couldn’t absolutely claim to be selfless, but how could everything he did to accommodate the shelters be defamed by 301?
He had always fought wholeheartedly for the liberation of the shelters.
Even when his family didn’t understand and he was alienated from them, he didn’t back down.
He wouldn’t back down now, either.
Without any protection, Duan An stepped forward and extended his hand towards the shelter.
wanting to show his friendliness.
However, the next moment, he was answered with a splash of blo-od.
As well as his mutilated arm.
The shelter was hungry.
And they were the best food.
Jiu Shu was embraced by Xi Han after walking away from the male lead.
Since there were four Xi Hans, even if one of them was only partially hugged, they still surrounded Jiu Shu tightly.
Jiu Shu: “…”
Each of Xi Han’s faces had an uncontrollable hint of happiness.
This was the first time that Jiu Shu had acknowledged the intimate relationship between them in front of outsiders, which made Xi Han feel happier than ever before.
The uneasiness in his heart was also completely suppressed by joy.
The fascination and love in his eyes grew thicker.
“Your minds have been completely synchronized.”
Looking at the four objects of discipline, whose movements were exactly the same and whose expressions were also completely synchronized, Jiu Shu spoke in an affirmative tone.
Their movements froze, not knowing what Jiu Shu meant.
“So you can take back your consciousness, can’t you?”
Jiu Shu arched an eyebrow, his tone calm.
Instead of all four bodies holding him tightly at the same time like they were now.
Moving away from Xi Han’s hand on his chest, he felt the physiological changes in several of the bodies due to their emotional excitement.
Jiu Shu felt that if he didn’t stop it, something rather heavy might happen.
Jiu Shu couldn’t take it.
“…”
Xi Han looked down at his body as if he had only just realized the changes in his body.
Indeed, the feeling of repulsion between each body had disappeared.
It was probably because, with the intensified mental fluctuations, the mind that was originally detached from the body was synchronized.
Now he could freely manipulate each body as if it was his own body.
However, after returning to his senses, Xi Han also noticed the changes in his body and couldn’t help but blush a little.
It was only because he was in love that he was like this; after all, he had only just established a relationship with his lover.
“I didn’t mean it like that.”
After all, how could he give up his Jiu Shu to an imposter?
Not even a body that was under his control could do it.
Jiu Shu could only be his.
Jiu Shu blinked, hoping that he had better not have thought of it that way.
At the same time, he signaled for him to release the four arms circling his waist. He was getting a little dizzy.
Xi Han let go in a hurry.
Then, looking at Jiu Shu, who was embraced by several arms from different bodies, his gaze traveled from the corners of his eyes, which were slightly reddened from the hug being too tight, to his fine white neck and his delicate collarbone.
Xi Han’s amber eyes flickered, and the tips of his ears flushed red.
It took a while to squash those unpleasant fantasies in his mind.
“The base exit is open; time to go.”
Jiu Shu glanced at the message on the tablet and reminded him.
Xi Han hurriedly returned to his senses, not daring to let Jiu Shu discover those fantasies in his mind.
Instead, Jiu Shu stopped where he was and looked at him for a while.
Xi Han panicked in his heart, thinking that he had been discovered.
But luckily, Jiu Shu only reminded Xi Han to quickly take back his consciousness.
“You don’t want to run away with four bodies with you, do you?”
Jiu Shu glanced at Xi Han’s reddened ears and raised an eyebrow.
The fingers holding the tablet were long and slender, with beautiful lines.
Xi Han lowered his eyes and looked at Jiu Shu’s wrist, which was exposed under the sleeve.
It was white and soft, and he could see the green veins.
“Of course not; it’s just the two of us.”
A happy future for just the two of them.
Although he still wanted to destroy these bodies, now that Jiu Shu was still in front of him, Xi Han just withdrew his consciousness.
Bang-
The three people, A, B, and C, other than Xi Han, fell to the ground at the same time, their eyes empty, without the divine splendor they had just had.
After removing his consciousness, the bodies would gradually return to its original puppet state, only knowing to complete the instructions initially given by 001.
Until Xi Han, the main body, assimilated them again, these consciousness bodies were just mere puppets.
But Xi Han didn’t care about that; he only knew that he could finally embrace Jiu Shu without any fear.
Hugging Jiu Shu, he kissed his cheek.
Xi Han revealed a smile of extreme happiness.
Jiu Shu didn’t stop Xi Han’s excited demeanor either; he just squinted his eyes at the kiss.
Only when Xi Han was calm enough did they continue in the direction of the exit.
Now that the base was in chaos, it was a good time to leave.
Not far down the corridor, the assistant was taking a shaky step forward, supported by Supervisor Jack.
He was too weak—too weak—to walk on his own.
The base couldn’t spare any other effort to help him right now; it was Supervisor Jack, who was passing by, who kindly gave him a hand, ready to put him in the nearest medical room.
“You’re telling me that Xi Han is with 301?”
Supervisor Jack was a bit incredulous.
He knew how much Xi Han hated monsters.
It had been like this since he was a child.
Supervisor Jack had sort of watched Xi Han grow up, from the first tiny one with a face that was always expressionless and gloomy and cold as he slaughtered monsters.
To the later days when he always had a smile on his face that made people unable to understand.
Although Xi Han had always been indifferent to others and his relationship with Jack wasn’t really good, Jack had been paying attention to him.
After all, he was a genius that was rare to come across in a hundred years, and if not for all of Xi Han’s inventions, he didn’t know how many more shelter escape incidents would have occurred in the base.
Jack still remembered the mocking smile on Xi Han’s face when he suggested that he should pay more attention to the treatment of the shelters.
There was no way to connect him to the romance the assistant was talking about.
“It’s true, Doctor; you must keep it a secret for me. I’m afraid I’ll lose my little life if Dr. Xi Han finds out.”
The assistant sobbed and choked out.
He really had had enough, and he kind of didn’t even want to do this anymore.
This base was too scary; even though he had been doing it for some years now, he had never seen so many scary things.
Especially Xi Han’s affair with 301, it had really suffocated his intestines, and now that he was finally able to vent it out, it was a bit better.
But then the assistant’s face paled.
Because he saw Jiu Shu and Xi Han standing not far away.
They were embracing.
Xi Han’s gaze seemed to look over in a gloomy manner.
The assistant shook like a sieve, not daring to look again.
Next to them was an exit.
No. 301’s purpose was obviously to escape from the base.
Now 301’s purpose has been achieved.
The assistant didn’t know what he would do with Dr. Xi Han, who had no more value.
According to past practice, after being used by monsters, humans with no more value would be eaten.
But with the strength of the doctor, he shouldn’t be easily eaten.
But lovers who turned against each other were once inseparable.
With Dr. Xi Han’s character, he would probably make the scene blo*ody.
It was only after a while that the assistant surreptitiously raised his eyes, and sure enough, he saw No. 301 leave Dr. Xi Han’s embrace.
It walked to the password port in front of the entrance to enter the password.
As soon as the code was entered, the door slowly opened.
The doctor had actually told No. 301 the password as well.
The assistant couldn’t bear to look at them.
One could only say that the doctor in his first relationship was too inexperienced and trusted the other too much.
No. 301 looked at the open gate without looking back and stepped straight out.
The assistant saw Xi Han’s eyes widen in some bewilderment, and he reached out his hand in the direction that Jiu Shu had left.
He seemed to be longing for a response from his lover.
But the assistant knew that it was just in vain.
There would be no response.
301 had left and would not return.
The doctor had been compelled too deeply.
So much so that he was addicted to it, not realizing that 301 had never really loved him and that it had been just a compulsion from the beginning.
The assistant felt sad for the doctor.
After all, he was only flesh and blo*od; he was no match for the monster’s ruthlessness, and he had fallen into the monster’s trap after all.
Thinking like this, the assistant withdrew his gaze, unable to bear to continue watching.
But who knew that Supervisor Jack beside him would let out a sigh?
“Good luck to them.”
“?” The assistant raised his head and was shocked to find Xi Han’s hand being held by another alabaster-like palm.
The two interlocked their fingers.
Hand in hand, they walked out of the base.
In the blinding light outside the base, the assistant could only see 301’s black hair swaying with the movement and his tall, well-proportioned back.
Dr. Xi Han’s palm clasped 301’s hand, never parting.
“This is the first time I’ve seen such a happy smile on Xi Han’s face.”
Even at the most innocent stage as a child, Xi Han’s eyes always held a congealed gloom that wouldn’t go away.
Jack knew that Xi Han must be very happy right now.
He hoped they could stay happy.
Dr. Jack withdrew his gaze.
The assistant, however, remained staring at them in disbelief; it was unlike any ending he had ever thought possible.
301 hadn’t abandoned the doctor and left him alone, and the doctor did not dissect his lover’s body due to love and hatred after being abandoned.
Instead, it was a fairytale ending.
TN:
