Chapter Index

This scene was really too embarrassing; fortunately, Mu Sichen had experienced life and death in the other world and had honed his ability to remain unperturbed, so it wasn’t too much of a problem for him to fool He Fei.

Therefore, Mu Sichen looked at He Fei with an unusually upright look, threw the doll onto He Fei’s bed, and faintly said, “You slept in a bad position and kicked it to the ground in the middle of the night.”

He Fei took the doll, hugged it in his arms, and said suspiciously, “Then you could have picked it up and put it on my bed or on my desk; why did you carry it to your own bed?”

He put it on He Fei’s bed, but the doll ran to his bed on its own legs, so what could Mu Sichen do?

“I was confused too, and I took it as my doll. Who asked you to make it so similar to mine? It’s impossible to tell them apart in the dark! Why did you make it look like that? You wouldn’t be thinking of replacing my doll with a fake one, would you?”

Mu Sichen simply retreated and put the blame on He Fei’s head.

He Fei immediately turned red and stuttered: “You, you, you defile people’s innocence! Who wants to exchange it? Even if your doll is cuter, I don’t want to change it.”

Mu Sichen: “……”

He only thought of a reason to shake off this embarrassing matter in order to put off this embarrassing matter, but looking at He Fei’s look of emptiness with wandering eyes, could it be that he guessed right?

Mu Sichen looked at He Fei with a critical gaze.

“Ha, ha, ha!” He Fei laughed three times, wiped his face and said, “I don’t want to talk to you, I still have to go to work.”

This matter finally ended the page with the guilt of the two people.

Since He Fei was in a hurry to go to work, he went to wash up first, while Mu Sichen looked at the doll across the bed.

If his senses weren’t wrong, when he tossed the doll back to He Fei, the moving tentacle seemed to have curled around his wrist with great reluctance.

Even now, the doll’s plastic eyes seemed to have a bit of accusation, as if rebuking Mu Sichen for throwing it to someone else.

Mu Sichen shook his head, feeling that he was getting confused.

He Fei returned to the dormitory after washing up, took the doll off the bed, hugged it and was about to kiss it.

Mu Sichen’s heart suddenly reached his throat, and he was about to shout out, ‘Release that doll and don’t kiss it.’.

But He Fei stopped in the middle, gazed seriously at the doll, and murmured: “It looks so sacred ah, how can I just desecrate it.”

Saying this He Fei rubbed the place where the doll was kissed by him yesterday with great vigour, and with three fingers of his right hand on his forehead, he made a deep salute to the doll.

Mu Sichen was so worried that he wanted to bang his head against the wall.

His efforts these days were all for nothing.

In order to prevent He Fei from being confused by the octopus doll, he took his money and ran out of the dormitory for three days. It wasn’t easy to complete the agreement with Qin Zu, and the octopus doll was also turned into a totem that summoned Qin Zu by Yao Wangping within the pillar, which finally solved this trouble.

The next thing that should have happened was that due to staying away from the influence of the octopus doll, He Fei became more and more normal, and by the time he next entered the game seven days later, He Fei would have already returned to normal.

Who knew that the tentacle pattern that the little octopus used to heal his arm stayed and followed him to the real world again.

When He Fei kissed the doll last night, it was indeed just a doll with the same look but rather average material, He Fei kissed it as much as he liked, and Mu Sichen didn’t mind at all.

But now that the totem power on Mu Sichen’s arm was probably transferred to the doll, He Fei instinctively didn’t dare to desecrate the doll anymore.

Mu Sichen didn’t have to worry about He Fei bringing any trouble because he disrespected it, but now in this situation, it was so hard for He Fei to be normal, yet he had become abnormal again.

What was even harder was that the octopus doll was Mu Sichen’s anyways, he could take the doll wherever he wanted, and He Fei couldn’t do anything about it even if he was in a hurry.

However this doll was He Fei’s, and Mu Sichen had no right to ask about it.

So Mu Sichen could only watch as He Fei reverently put the doll into his backpack and hummed as he took the doll to work.

Went to work ……

He Fei himself had become that way, yet he still wanted to take the doll to the company and go to the place where there were so many people?

What would become of the employees of He Fei’s company then?

Mu Sichen couldn’t sit still.

He had to think of a way to get the doll back.

But with He Fei’s level of obsession, if he hid after forcibly snatching the doll, He Fei would definitely call the police.

By then, not only would he be unable to defend himself, the doll would be back in He Fei’s hands just the same.

He couldn’t be that impulsive, he had to think of a good way. Mu Sichen thought calmly.

In fact, the solution was ready-made, he’d just copy He Fei directly.

He made the doll just to exchange it for his octopus doll, so couldn’t he make another doll #2 so that he could quietly exchange the doll for it?

This was called treating others the way they treat you.

Mu Sichen silently gave himself a nod of approval.

But where did He Fei have the doll custom-made?

Everyone’s craftsmanship was different, so if he wanted to make an identical one, he’d have to find the same shop. There were many DIY small gift shops near their school; he didn’t know which one he went to.

Mu Sichen rummaged through He Fei’s bed and desk and didn’t find a similar business card.

Just when he was at a loss, he touched the glasses case on He Fei’s desk.

He Fei was a bit myopic; the degree wasn’t high—150 degrees or so—and he didn’t often wear glasses, so the case was always placed on the desk, except during examination periods, he usually didn’t wear it.

Mu Sichen instantly thought of the golden glasses.

It was a part of the power of a god-level monster. Qin Zu’s small totem of a tentacle could make such a big mess, and Mu Sichen didn’t believe that the glasses left behind by the big-eyed boy would have no effect.

He decisively took out the glasses and put them on.

The glasses didn’t have a prescription, but after putting them on, he seemed to be able to see things even more clearly than before; he just didn’t see what he wanted to see.

Mu Sichen stood at the spot where the doll had been lying last night, sighed slightly, and said to himself, “How can it be so hard to find an octopus doll?”

Just after saying this, Mu Sichen felt a pain in his temples, as if he were being stabbed by something.

Mu Sichen just wanted to take off his glasses to see what was going on when his eyes suddenly went dark.

The scene in front of his eyes seemed to have returned to last night, and one tentacle of the octopus filled with night light on He Fei’s bed moved.

It relied on this one tentacle to move its body, little by little, climbed down He Fei’s bed, and little by little climbed to Mu Sichen’s bed.

Getting off the bed was easy, as long as one didn’t have a firm grip, it could fall.

But getting on the bed was difficult, it was hard for the doll with only one tentacle that could move to climb up, and it would fall off the bed if it wasn’t careful. But it wasn’t discouraged, it tried to hold up its body and continued to climb, it fell four times in a row before coming to Mu Sichen’s bed.

It was really physically disabled yet determined.

Mu Sichen remembered his action of throwing the pirated doll to He Fei as soon as he woke up, and felt that he was a bit like that scummy man, he had failed to live up to the doll’s intentions.

Of course, these weren’t important, the important thing was: “What shop did He Fei make the octopus doll?”

Mu Sichen’s temples felt another pinprick of pain, and then he saw He Fei walk into a “trendy DIY” craft shop at the entrance of the school.

It was there!

Mu Sichen took off his glasses and put them in his coat pocket and ran out of the dormitory as fast as he could.

He Fei was so fond of the doll that he probably wouldn’t take them out of his backpack, so as long as he made a new doll quickly, the impact wouldn’t widen.

Mu Sichen sped all the way to the outside of the school, luckily the shop was open.

He rushed inside out of breath, found the picture of the little octopus in his phone and said, “I want to make a doll exactly like this, someone should have done it yesterday.”

The shop assistant was a part-time girl with a sweet look, she took one look and smiled, “I remember, he ordered the doll from the shop three days ago, and last night he waited a long time to take it back.”

“Does it take three days?” Mu Sichen was in a hurry.

The girl said, “That’s not true, we were waiting for the materials for three days, now that the materials are complete, it can be done in three or four hours, if you’re in a hurry, we can do it for you right away, but you’ll have to pay an expedited fee.”

“Do do it; do it right away!” Mu Sichen said.

The girl said the price, Mu Sichen’s eyes went dark again; he spent all the money he earned from yesterday’s accompanying game again. The little octopus was simply a gold-snapping beast.

Last night, he dreamt of Qin Zu asking him to take back his power. Mu Sichen really wanted to say to Qin Zu, “Okay, okay, whose power is relying on whom? Please take back your power.”

Unfortunately, even if he saw Qin Zu’s true self, Mu Sichen might not dare say this.

After waiting impatiently until noon, doll #2 was finally ready.

Mu Sichen also bought a glass-size box with a lock. The girl said, “This box is designed to be paired with a wish paper and is usually used as a gift for girlfriends. You can let her write some wishes, fold them into a wish star, and lock it in the box. You can secretly open the box to fulfill her wishes. Isn’t it romantic?”

Mu Sichen laughed dryly and said firmly, “I just want the box, not the paper.”

He wouldn’t say that he was going to use this to seal a god-level prop.

“Don’t use paper; it will look bad if you only use A4 paper.” The girl said, “Guest, since you customized a doll with us, let me give you a pack of wishing paper.”

Saying that, she stiffly gave Mu Sichen a pack of colourful origami paper.

Since it was given for nothing, Mu Sichen accepted it, maybe he would use it in the future.

After successfully getting the pirated doll number 2 and the sealed box, Mu Sichen went to an empty place, put on his glasses, and whispered, “Where is the doll now?”

Hopefully, He Fei, because of his respect for the doll, didn’t take it out, and it was still in the backpack.

His temple still hurt, every time these glasses worked, it was like it took away a drop of blo-od from Mu Sichen. The previous few stabbing pains were caused by a thorn sticking into his temple and stabbing Mu Sichen.

The scene in front of Mu Sichen changed, and it was He Fei’s company.

He Fei’s desk was decorated with the doll that was about 20 centimetres high, and from time to time, he would look up at the doll, and then he would reveal a smile, like he was encouraged by his leader, and then he would lower his head and work hard.

The doll was motionless on the desk, with seven tentacles honestly propped up on the desk, except for one flexible tentacle that shrank under the head.

Even though He Fei had placed the doll on the desk, the doll still knew how to hide its tentacle, so the situation was still fine.

According to this situation, Mu Sichen could have waited for He Fei to come back at night before changing the doll. But to avoid having any trouble, it was still safer to find a way to sneak into the company and exchange the dolls.
