Chapter Index

This would indeed make it easy to cross this meteorite belt, but it also meant that his plan had all gone down the drain; the scarred man simply wanted to cry; he was just an ordinary pirate. Why did he come across this kind of person who even existed in a very unscientific way?

Just as the scarred man was overwhelmed by the scene he had just seen, and at the same time, he was feeling incredibly angry because of the loss of his plan, he heard He Yishu suddenly come up with a twist.

“However, this time, I’m not going to use this method to cross the meteorite belt.” He Yishu turned his head to look at Adrian, winking wryly, “I have a better method I want to try.”

Adrian raised his eyebrows in interest. “What method?”

“You’ll find out later.” He Yishu narrowed his eyes in a mysterious manner and smiled.

Then, in front of everyone, He Yishu continuously made thirty seal-form rune cards.

After finishing, He Yishu asked the scarred man, “Do you still remember how long it took you to cross this meteorite belt? As a kind reminder, if your answer is shorter than the actual time, I think you might actually lose your life in the meteorite belt.”

The scarred man had just been paying attention to He Yishu’s movements, and he knew that He Yishu was supposed to be making a rune card but had never seen one like this before.

Especially since He Yishu’s speed of making rune cards was too fast—basically,  he could make three or four rune cards in a minute—could such a rune card really be used properly?

Therefore, after being asked by He Yishu, the scarred man didn’t directly think about and answer this question; instead, he couldn’t help but ask, “Can these rune cards really be used properly? I don’t want to die in this kind of place.”

He Yishu said with a cold attitude, “That has nothing to do with you; you only need to answer my question.”

After witnessing He Yishu’s amazing abilities with his own eyes, the scarred man didn’t dare to be as bad as he was in the beginning: “If we cross over from the center of this meteorite belt, it would only take more than three hours, but because we need to avoid these high-speed moving meteorites, I’m afraid that it would take twice as much time for us to be able to go through.”

“Three hours, not bad.” He Yishu directly ignored the Scarred Man’s latter words and set the time at three hours, and since the statute of limitations for each rune card was about ten minutes, then thirty rune cards should already be enough.

The scarred man wanted to say something else, but seeing He Yishu’s unconcerned appearance, he thought about it and closed his mouth.

He no longer dared to underestimate this person. Although he didn’t seem to have made a thoughtful choice, the lesson he learned before had taught the Scarred Man that people shouldn’t be judged by their appearance.

The staff quickly made all the preparations, and He Yishu also placed the first rune card into the rune card slot. Everyone except him was nervously observing the changes around them, anticipating the effect this rune card was about to bring that would make them feel shocked.

As it turned out, even if they were mentally prepared in advance, sometimes there was still no way to avoid being shocked and dumbfounded.

The scarred man had even subconsciously held his breath and made sufficient preparations, but when he really saw what was happening, he was still inevitably shocked from the inside out.

This was because he saw a white mist slowly emerge from the empty night sky.

This mist solidified at a very fast speed, and in the end, it turned into a giant dragon that looked much bigger than a spaceship.

The beast circled up and down a few times in the night sky and then raised its head to the sky and let out a dragon’s roar, and even in the vacuum of the universe, it was as if that deafening sound could be heard.

Adrian’s eyes flickered as he looked at the giant dragon floating above the spaceship, and his heartbeat accelerated by a few points: “What is… this?”

“A dragon.” Yishu’s gaze was also filled with excitement.

Just as the crowd was overwhelmed by the scene they saw, the giant dragon suddenly let out a long roar, then opened its mouth wide and poked its head in the direction of the spaceship.

“What is it it… it doing? It can’t be that it’s going to eat us?!” The scarred man was so frightened that he nearly fell to the ground.

He Yishu’s expression, however, wasn’t the least bit flustered: “Don’t worry, it won’t harm us.”

The giant dragon opened its huge mouth and directly took the entire spaceship into its mouth, then he reversed his direction and flew directly towards the meteorite belt.

The scarred man was instantly confused; the way it unfolded was completely out of his expectation: “It surprisingly… didn’t hurt us; instead, it’s helping us.”

He Yishu didn’t take care of the scarred man; he just bumped Adrian’s shoulder with his elbow and smiled: “This is what I thought of—another way to cross the meteorite belt; doesn’t it feel very good?”

Adrian nodded solemnly. “Very good indeed; using this method is not only very safe but also saves the difficulty of piloting a spaceship.”

“I’ll tell you a secret.” He Yishu came close to Adrian’s ear and lowered his voice. “Dragons are a very noble existence in our place; to put it another way, I myself am a descendant of dragons. So for me, the thrilling feeling of being protected by a dragon will be much stronger than you guys.”

Adrian wrapped his arm around He Yishu’s shoulder: “I’m equally excited.”

In a place that couldn’t be seen from the crowd’s perspective, a sturdy dragon traversed the meteorite belt at an extremely fast speed, as if no obstacle could stop its advance.

At this time, Chris, who was in the region of the long beast, took out his cosmic telescope after having a full meal and began to explore the surrounding situation.

Then he was surprised to find that something seemed to have gone wrong in the meteorite belt, and there was an obvious white trail traveling rapidly through the belt.

He observed it carefully, and if he only deduced it from what he saw, it looked very much like a ferocious beast, but he knew very well that no matter what kind of beast it was, it couldn’t possibly survive directly in the cosmic space.

So what exactly was that thing?

Chris called his subordinates, but the other party couldn’t come up with the right answer either; they didn’t dare to slacken off and had been carefully observing the situation of that giant beast.

More than two hours later, that giant beast finally crossed to the other end of the meteorite belt, and then… it gradually disappeared, revealing the outline of a spaceship.

Wait. Wait! How did that giant beast suddenly disappear? It clearly looked very brave just now! It even smoothly passed through that terrifying meteorite belt directly with its own body!

And how did that spaceship come out of nowhere? Was his eye working right?

Chris rubbed his eyes and once again looked through the cosmic telescope in that direction, yet he still saw a spaceship, not a silver-white beast.

It wasn’t his eyes that were faulty; could someone please tell him how that scene had happened? It was simply too unscientific!

The subordinate standing beside Chris was also completely dumbfounded: “Chris, just now…”

“Something very amazing did just happen, so I think it’s very necessary for us to go over there and figure out the truth.” Chris took a deep breath and gave an order, “Reorientate; we’re going to see something different.”

He Yishu, who had just crossed the meteorite belt, didn’t think that Chris would just throw himself into the net; they were discussing their next plan.

“Scarred Man, how do you think we should act next to find Chris?” He Yishu inquired.

At this moment, the Scarred Man hadn’t fully recovered from the shock he had just experienced and calmed himself down. Then he started thinking about this question before replying, “I only know that he should be in the Long Beast area, but I don’t know his specific coordinates, so we can only go around and take our chances.”

He Yishu shook his head: “That isn’t a good idea.”

Adrian spoke up and proposed: “There are instruments on the ship that can detect nearby signal sources; we can use this instrument to search first; if the other party didn’t use a signal shielding operation, we should be able to find him easily.”

“That’s a good idea; let’s try it first.” He Yishu nodded, and the staff immediately activated the signal source search function.

Then half a minute passed, one minute passed, two minutes passed, and five minutes passed… The instrument didn’t capture any signal source, and it was obvious that either the other party was too far away from their ship so they couldn’t capture the signal source, or the other party had turned on the shielding function.

But whichever possibility it was, it wasn’t good news for He Yishu and the others.

“So it looks like we need to take our time to find him.” He Yishu touched his stomach. “Then we’d better eat first; I’m already hungry. Actually, when we were in the meteorite belt, we should have eaten.”

The crowd fell silent, while at the same time spitting in their hearts, “I’m afraid you’re the only one who could eat under those circumstances, right?” At that time, they were all just shocked and amazed.

“Then let’s eat first.” Adrian favorably rubbed He Yishu’s hair.

The staff specially arranged by Arman to be in charge of the two’s daily lives quickly brought a sumptuous meal to the table, and He Yishu, who had long been starving, immediately began to wind down.

The scarred man and his subordinates watched from the sidelines, but they could only hold two bowls of rice, squatting there and eating in aggravation; all they had eaten in the past few days had been rice, not even a single vegetarian dish.

Only after finishing the second bowl of rice did He Yishu put down his chopsticks and wipe the corners of his mouth: “I’m so full.”

“You ate too fast; that’s not good for your body.” Adrian also followed suit and put down his chopsticks; his eating speed was actually a little faster than He Yishu’s, but this was all a habit he had developed from following his father.

He Yishu scratched his head and was just about to defend himself when he suddenly saw a staff member walk over with a serious expression, “Major Admiral, Mr. He, we have observed three battleships approaching our direction.”
