“Wha…” He Xiangchen’s eyes widened, and his throbbing head was screaming out in pain. He couldn’t help but reach out to rub his temples when he heard a man’s low voice from beside him, “Awake?”

Instantly alert, He Xiangchen forced himself to hold back the dizziness and move into a defensive position.

“Heh,” a low laugh came from above his head, “Don’t be nervous; it’s me.”

Angnis said, reaching out to press a hot towel against the side of his face.

He Xiangchen pulled off the towel and muffled his face. When his headache eased a little, he held the towel in his hands and asked coldly, “Why did you do that?”

“If I say that I didn’t do anything, will you believe me?” Angnis said innocently.

“No.”

Angnis smiled, “But I really didn’t do anything. Lord General should have gone through anti-poison training; there’s no way I could have dru-gged you and still managed to go unnoticed.”

“……” It was true that he wasn’t afraid of most dr-ugs, but if Angnis really hadn’t done anything, then why had he fainted after drinking last night?

While thinking about it, Angnis suddenly asked him, “Has the general ever drunk alcohol? When you were in the army, did you rarely drink?”

He couldn’t refute this point.

Angnis knew the answer by looking at his expression, “Lord General, you were drunk last night.”

He Xiangchen couldn’t believe it; he forced himself to calmly defend, “I only drank two cups.”

“Yes, two cups.”

Angnis looked at him with deep meaning and purposely elongated the word “two cups.”.

The truth was so embarrassing.

He turned his face away from Angnis’s teasing gaze, but then he caught a glimpse of the deep starry sky outside the window and realized, “Where are we going?”

They were clearly on the Rockside starship!

Angnis didn’t hide it from him: “The Desolate Star.”

“The Desolate Star?”

He Xiangchen quickly searched his mind for information about the Desolate Star. The Desolate Star was located at the place where the Federation Galaxy and the Demera Star Galaxy were divided, and neither side was willing to spend a great deal of effort to station troops on it, yet they had to prevent the other side from sending troops to occupy the Desolate Star.

Over time, it had become a special hollow zone.

“Why are you going to the Desolate Star?” He Xiangchen sat up straight. “And it seems like you didn’t ask for my permission.”

“I’m originally a Star Pirate; plundering is my nature. Is it the first day that the Lord General is witnessing my true nature? What’s more, I did the general such a great favor; shouldn’t the general repay me…”

“I said I would give you a resource star.”

“Then until you give it to me, I have the right to restrict your personal freedom.” Angnis justified his actions to He Xiangchen, “I don’t think Lord General will renege on his debt, right?”

“……” He Xiangchen gritted his teeth in his heart; he could only get the right to own a resource star if he restored his general status.

But according to this bandit’s logic, he had to deliver the resource star before he could be released to return to the Federation.

“I want to leave; there’s no way you can stop me.”

The general’s eyes narrowed dangerously; he usually had a stereotypically serious expression, so when he became extremely aggressive, it meant that he was truly angry.

But this time, Angnis had no intention of smoothing his temper: “I know the General has the power to do that; you should do it. I’m just a Star Pirate anyway; I’m not worth the General’s attention.”

He had a broken expression on his face as he told He Xiangchen to leave. The general had probably never seen such a rogue in his life, and even though he had a million wise counsels on the battlefield, there wasn’t even a single one that could tell him how to deal with the situation at hand.

“What exactly do you want?” He Xiangchen simply stood up and looked at him condescendingly.

“Stay with me for a while,” Angnis’s tone softened. “I promise it won’t be long.”

He Xiangchen was slightly stunned; this answer was clearly beyond his knowledge. But if one equated companionship with reward, after all that Angnis had done for him, he deserved to agree to such a request.

But for some reason, he felt that something wasn’t quite right.

“If the general doesn’t say anything, I’ll take that as an agreement.” Angnis picked up the water basin. “Thank you, General.”

If Fei’er and William were here, their mouths would be wide open.

Angnis, who had never shown the slightest bit of resignation to anyone, had willingly served He Xiangchen.

He Xiangchen watched as Angnis left his room, and as soon as Angnis left, 009’s anxious voice came from his ear, “Host, do you really want to stay with him in the Desolate Star? What about the virus?”

“There’s no rush; I already have a clue.”

“Really?”

He Xiangchen nodded slightly, touching his still slightly wet cheeks with the back of his hand. “All I have to do now is wait; there’s actually no difference between waiting in the Federation and waiting in the Desolate Star. And …… I’m now Yu Qiming, a general who is as good as his word; it’s completely reasonable that he would agree to Angnis’s request.”

009 felt that his brain was a little bad; the host hadn’t gotten too into the act, had he? But this was the host’s decision, so it rightfully obeyed.

He Xiangchen turned his back and looked away from the sea of stars, but his expression was a bit grave. It was as if the scene of the stellar explo-sion appeared in front of him again.

That person’s voice was low and sexy, like the sound of a cello: “I don’t want to see you sad.”

……

The Rockside arrived at the Desolate Planet.

The landing point was on the outskirts of the city, and Angnis led He Xiangchen out of the starship, “Welcome to our home.”

Angnis deliberately whispered the word “our.”.

He Xiangchen, who was a bit distracted, didn’t even notice it. As he looked around, his eyes were filled with colorful pansies in the extended manor.

These vivid and colorful flowers were so beautiful that it was mind-blowing.

“Like it?” Angnis walked behind He Xiangchen and murmured in his ear, “This is your favorite flower. I purposely planted it all over the manor for you. You said that the seven-colored pansies are a miracle of nature and that each petal can bring a wish. I make a wish on these flowers every time I come, expecting that one day Lord General will see me.”

He Xiangchen’s pupils dilated as he stared at Angnis in shock. “You like me?”

“I love you.”

The answer had actually been obvious for a long time; it was just that He Xiangchen didn’t think much about it. All along, Angnis’s intentions towards him had been obvious, but he had always thought that it was just a prank of this Star Pirate leader.

But he never thought that he really liked him. Liked him enough to pay attention to everything he liked, including these heptagons.

“Why?”He Xiangchen asked softly.

Angnis sighed softly, “Perhaps you have long forgotten that you once saved someone here. At that time, I was attacked and chased by the Star Swallowing Beast. If it wasn’t for the General saving me, I’m afraid I would have been buried here long ago.”

“I only saved you.”

“Yeah, I originally just wanted to repay the favor too.” Angnis gazed at He Xiangchen with burning eyes. “It’s just that Lord General is so adorable that I couldn’t help but fall in love with you.”

He Xiangchen suddenly raised his fist and punched him, “I’ll give you one chance to speak properly!”

“I like you!”

He Xiangchen withdrew his fist and walked towards the manor with an expressionless face.

Angnis followed behind; despite being punched, he didn’t feel any pain at all; instead, he chased after He Xiangchen and asked, “Did your hand get hurt?”

He Xiangchen stopped walking and turned his head to look at him; there was a light bruise on his face, ruining his almost perfect looks. Behind him was a sea of seven-colored pansy flowers, and the colorful warm colors dyed the whole scene into a fairy tale.

For a moment, he couldn’t bear to destroy everything in front of him.

“You’re still leaving, aren’t you?” Angnis’s tone turned cold, “I stepped over a mountain of corpses and bloo-d to get this far, in order to get closer to Lord General. I won’t let go; if you want to go, please step over my corpse first.”

“You’re threatening me.”

“Yes,” Angnis’s fond gaze swept over He Xiangchen’s icy gaze, “threatening you with my life.”

He Xiangchen dared to swear that he had never seen such a brazen person as Angnis, who could put the threat of death in such a righteous way.

On the contrary, there was nothing he could do about it.

“I saved your life, you saved mine, we’re even. Now that you’ve helped me gather evidence, it’s only right that I accompany you for a while.” He Xiangchen coldly said.

“Is it necessary to count so clearly?” A flash of hurt flashed across Angnis’s eyes. “Are you so anxious to draw a line with me?”

He Xiangchen didn’t say anything as he turned around and walked straight into the manor.

He was indeed in a hurry to draw a line with Angnis, because he was worried that in the face of this man’s tenderness that was reserved only for him, he would fall into it and be unable to extricate himself.
