C114 – Violent Possession
by UntamedSChu Chen’an was dazzled by him; his eyelids drooped, and his gaze remained dull and confused as he frowned and muttered, “Don’t shake me.”
He reached out to Qin Jue again, closed his eyes, and wrapped his arms around his neck, drifting off to sleep.
Qin Jue supported his back, but the sharp pain between his head tugged at his thoughts; unknown irritability and uneasiness made him embrace Chu Chen’an even more tightly.
Broken, unfamiliar memories reappeared in his mind; every moment of memory had the heavy shadow of Chu Chen’an. This was a memory he deeply remembered; even if he lost his memory, it would make him feel a faint pain in his heart.
What exactly was it?
What exactly did he forget?
Qin Jue’s knuckles were white, and his thoughts were in chaos. He frowned for a while before carrying Chu Chen’an back to his hotel room.
He used a hot towel to wipe Chu Chen’an’s face. Chu Chen’an slept quietly and would turn over in small increments, clamping the corner of the quilt as he continued to sleep.
Qin Jue’s fingertips rubbed over the side of his face, lingering between his eyebrows and eyes; he examined his face for a long time. The more he looked, the more the sense of uneasiness and possessiveness became more and more intense.
He kissed Chu Chen’an’s forehead, and through the quilt, he encircled his entire body in his arms.
Chu Chen’an was embraced very tightly, completely unable to turn over. He snorted discontentedly in his sleep, leaned against Qin Jue’s neck, and found a restrained position to continue sleeping.
Late at night.
In the dimly lit office, Qin Jue sat in front of the desk and looked through the information on the desk. The folders on top contained his detailed medical records and hospitalization records from the past few years.
When he turned to a day three years ago, the page was blank.
The lit cigar was placed on the ashtray, and wisps of white smoke lingered in the dim air.
Three years ago, the car crash, the fall into the sea.
All of this record made sense, so much so that he never doubted it.
Qin Jue let out a soft laugh in the darkness, a few moments of relief mixed in with the murky hostility.
In the basement.
A strong man with flower tattoos on his arms was suspended in midair with a number of wounds that had scabbed over and reopened again; his mouth was covered in bloody foam, and he was missing an ear.
Half of his head was bloody and still hanging, his mouth mechanically muttering, “I don’t dare anymore; I don’t dare anymore… give me another chance… I really didn’t think of betraying you… I really don’t dare…”
As he spoke, this burly man choked back his sobs and kept pleading for help from the people on the main seat.
But no one responded to his pleas, as he was pinned down by two bodyguards on both shoulders, and a medical professional stood with a scalpel, ready to cut off his other ear raw.
“No …… no no ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah! No.”
The shrill hissing echoed through the basement, making one’s scalp numb.
Qin Jue sat on the sofa in the center, relaxed, even as he witnessed the whole process.
The butler, Borek, stood beside him, cold sweat looming at his temples, and said in Chinese that trembled with the accent of a foreign language, “Sir, did he make any mistakes?”
Qin Jue glanced at Borek. “He sold information about the East Coast’s internal cargo half a month ago, allowing nine people to die in the East Coast warehouse. Do you think I punished him too much?”
Borek’s heart tightened, and he shook his head. “No, I’m not questioning your intentions.”
“I would have preferred to make his life miserable than to kill him. Cutting his ears today, tomorrow it will be his nose, and the day after tomorrow I will cut a piece of his arm… I want to make him watch the meat on his body become less and less every day, so that it will be enough to relieve my hatred.” Qin Jue took a sip of wine. “Borek, what I hate the most, is when someone betrays me.”
Borek listened with trepidation, the fine sweat on his forehead sliding down his cheeks, as slight uneasiness lingered in his eyes.
“You’ve been in the Qin family for more than thirty years, right?” Qin Jue narrowed his eyes, admiring the blood dripping from the hanging platform in front of him.
Borek: “Yes, Master.”
Wiping his hands with a handkerchief, Qin Jue stood up and patted Borek’s shoulder, smiled down at him, and said, “I hope you won’t have to end up like that one day.”
Borik’s eyes widened, his blue pupils quivering with tension and fear.
“Why don’t you stay here until the afternoon? Then you can come back up; take your time and enjoy it.”
With that, he casually placed the handkerchief in Borek’s hand and turned to leave the basement.
Tick-tock-tick-tock.
The sound of weak wailing resounded once again in the basement.
Blood kept dripping onto the chains.
Borek’s hand that was pinching that handkerchief trembled slightly as he stared fixedly in the direction that Qin Jue left, dryly swallowing.
……
Chu Chen’an woke up with a start and found himself lying in a large bedroom, which was beautifully and luxuriously decorated, and the crystal lamps hanging from the ceiling were so bright that they shook his eyes.
He rubbed his eyes and sat up, looking around before realizing that he was in Qin Jue’s presidential suite.
He didn’t know where Qin Jue had gone.
He didn’t even have the slightest recollection of how he got back last night.
He got up and shuffled into the bathroom, squeezed some toothpaste onto a disposable toothbrush, and started brushing his teeth with his eyes closed. He still felt a bit sleepy, with butterfly-like eyelashes that were long and distinct and messy hair.
Chu Chen’an was in a daze, and when he was halfway through brushing, he suddenly realized that someone behind him had wrapped his arms around his waist.
Chu Chen’an’s hand lurched; he opened his eyes and looked up; Qin Jue was behind him, his arms encircling him.
“Baby, you’ll be staying with me from now on.” Qin Jue kissed his cheeks and said, “I like this feeling of waking up early every morning and being able to see you.”
Chu Chen’an didn’t pay attention to his words, carefully brushing the other side of his teeth, and asked in a daze, “How did I come to your place yesterday?”
Qin Jue’s face was buried in the back of Chu Chen’an’s shoulder, sniffing the fresh fragrance of his body. “You were drunk yesterday; I carried you back.”
Chu Chen’an blushed and let out an “Oh,” before lightly pushing him. “I need to brush my teeth; go out first.”
Qin Jue hugged him tightly and insisted on seeing him finish brushing.
Chu Chen’an smelled a little bit of rust on Qin Jue’s body, but it wasn’t too obvious; his movement paused.
This per-vert had gone off to kill and set fire to something again.
He hurriedly sped up to finish and made room for Qin Jue.
Qin Jue unbuttoned his black shirt; his skin was wheat-yellow, the eight-pack abs on his abdomen were faintly visible, his body was robust, and he exuded a very charming hormonal aura.
Chu Chen’an froze for a moment as he watched.
He only took two more glances at Qin Jue’s abs before he was shamelessly grabbed by Qin Jue.
Qin Jue pulled Chu Chen’an’s small hand towards his abdomen. “Let’s wash it together.”
Chu Chen’an’s earlobes reddened as he retracted his hand and ran out of the bathroom door.
Shameless.
Chu Chen’an came to the big door of the room, tried several times but couldn’t open it, so he had to sit back on the sofa to watch the news.
The news broadcast on the TV was today’s announcement of tomorrow’s sailing time by the Star Ship, as well as the Star Group’s weekly stock growth.
With the sound of water flowing in the bathroom, Chu Chen’an opened his mobile phone and saw that Jiang Lin sent him a message: Chen’an, the ship sets sail tomorrow; let’s get together.
Chu Chen’an replied: No need; our room numbers are different. Just contact me when you act.
Jiang Lin texted: It’s okay; I bought you an extra ticket in the room next to mine, and we are now a couple. It would be more convenient to act together as a couple.
The sound of water in the bathroom stopped.
Chu Chen’an looked back at the bathroom door and quickly typed a reply: no need.
After he deleted his chat with Jiang Lin, the bathroom door opened right after.
He clicked on the chat page with Cheng Hao’s carer.
The carer just sent him a message: Cheng Hao has been transferred to the general ward in the morning.
Chu Chen’an breathed a sigh of relief and replied, Okay, I will come to see him in a while.
Qin Jue walked out of the bathroom in a robe, his lapel wide open, and sat down next to Chu Chen’an.
He looked at Chu Chen’an’s mobile phone screen. “What were you chatting about just now with Jiang Lin?”
“No.” Chu Chen’an said, “I’m going to the hospital in a while to see my friend who’s in the hospital.”
“What friend is that?” Qin Jue frowned, a hint of hostility flashed in his eyes, as he reluctantly added, “They’re making you run back and forth so much.”
Before Qin Jue blew up, Chu Chen’an quickly explained, “It’s one of my college classmates who just had surgery last night, and no one is there to take care of him.”
Qin Jue’s hostility dispersed a little; he tenderly embraced him and kissed his lips, “Okay, then eat breakfast first.”
Chu Chen’an nodded, “Okay.”
After eating breakfast, Chu Chen’an pointed to the door. “Open the door for me.”
As soon as he arrived at the door, Qin Jue pressed himself against the wall and kissed him affectionately for a while.
Only after a long time did Qin Jue release him and unlock the door with his fingerprint.
Chu Chen’an’s lips were swollen and red from kissing; he just wanted to turn around when he was pulled back by Qin Jue again.
Chu Chen’an felt that he was really annoying. “What’s wrong again?”
Just as Chu Chen’an finished speaking, a black jacket was put over his body.
His gaze was stunned as he watched Qin Jue meticulously straighten his collar and then zip it up.
Qin Jue lightly pinched his cheek. “Come back early.”
Chu Chen’an’s heart was flooded with a hint of sweetness, “Oh.”.
He had just taken a few steps when Qin Jue called out to him again, “An An.”
Chu Chen’an turned around. “Eh?”
“Actually, you also like me, don’t you?” Qin Jue leaned against the door and stared at him sharply.
Chu Chen’an’s eyes lowered under Qin Jue’s fierce gaze, and his heart beat faster. He blushed and didn’t speak.
Qin Jue’s sharp gaze seemed to be able to see through him at a glance.
“Break it off with that man surnamed Jiang after you come back.” Qin Jue added, “I want to be with you.”
Qin Jue’s tone didn’t sound like he was asking Chu Chen’an’s opinion; it was more like he was informing him. Qin Jue always said whatever he wanted; he was completely paranoid and would achieve his goal no matter what.
He looked at Chu Chen’an imperatively and waved goodbye to him slowly and methodically.
“My baby, come back early.”
Chu Chen’an nodded without saying anything and turned to the stairwell.
Feeling uneasy about the way things were going.
When he went downstairs, Qin Jue’s black Maybach was already parked at the front door.
It was obvious that Qin Jue arranged it in advance.
The driver opened the door for him in a well-trained manner, and Chu Chen’an had to get into the car.
After arriving at the hospital, he found the ward where Cheng Hao was.
When he came to the entrance of the ward, his footsteps suddenly stopped.
The ward door was wide open, and Zhou Qiangshan was there.
“I’m sorry, Hao Hao, it’s my negligence; I’m the one who made you suffer. I didn’t realize there were blades left out; really, you have to believe me. It must have hurt a lot, right? Why didn’t you tell me yesterday when you came to the hospital? I was heartbroken.” He carried a bowl of white congee and pleaded with Cheng Hao, “Come on, have a sip of congee.”
Cheng Hao’s lips were white and chapped, and he said indifferently, “I can’t eat yet.”
His intestines were still rotten.
“Oh, I’ve forgotten; look at my memory.”
Zhou Qiangshan put the porridge down and said, “Hao Hao, since you’re fine, do your discharge today; the ship will sail tomorrow.”
Cheng Hao frowned in pain and spoke breathlessly, “I’m still in pain.”
A hint of impatience flashed in Zhou Qiangshan’s eyes as he responded, “It was fine so many times before; why are you shouting about pain this time? Don’t you like pain?”
Zhou Qiangshan’s words were mocking Cheng Hao for being pretentious.
“Besides, a single ferry ticket cost me seven or eight thousand,” Zhou Qiangshan eased his tone again and said, “We can’t waste such an expensive ticket, Hao Hao.”
Cheng Hao frowned, turned sideways, and closed his eyes. “I know; go back.”
Zhou Qiangshan’s eyes were full of impatience. “Okay, then hurry and pack up, come back at noon, and don’t delay.”
Cheng Hao: “……”
He half-squinted his eyes; the bottom of his eyes was as lifeless as stagnant water.
Zhou Qiangshan lightly muttered in a thin voice as he walked away, “You’re almost dead and still so pretentious; if it wasn’t for the fact that you’re about to die, I wouldn’t bother to pay attention to you.”
He had just run into Chu Chenan shortly after leaving the ward door.
His disgusted eyes immediately changed their meaning, and he rustily pronounced his name, “Chu… Chu Chen’an, why are you here, to see Cheng Hao?”
Zhou Qiangshan smiled lewdly and looked straight at him.
“Yes.” Chu Chenan nodded his head, hiding the disgust in his heart.
“By the way, thank you for sending Cheng Hao to the hospital last night.” Zhou Qiangshan looked at Chu Chen’an’s face lewdly and said, “Let me treat you to a cup of coffee. Don’t you want to enter this circle as well? I can also introduce you properly, by the way.”
“We can.” Chu Chen’an smiled and nodded, not rejecting his ambiguity, “Then you can contact me at noon.”
Zhou Qiangshan was a bit surprised; he smiled and rubbed his hands together. “Okay.”
Chu Chen’an nodded.
After he passed by Zhou Qiangshan, the smile on his face disappeared in an instant, and he walked straight into the ward.
Chu Chen’an came to the hospital bed and asked softly, “Cheng Hao, are you feeling better?”
Cheng Hao turned his head slightly sideways and gasped weakly, “Yes… it doesn’t hurt as much as it did yesterday.”
Although his words were like this, Chu Chen’an felt that he was still in pain.
“Zhou Qiangshan came just now.” Cheng Hao said, “He said that the ship can set sail tomorrow.”
“Hmm.” Chu Chen’an hesitated in his heart; he deliberated for a while but still decided to say it: “Yesterday I heard the doctor say… that the special research medicine he gave you was a fake.”
Cheng Hao was a bit unconvinced and retorted, “How could it be? The wound did heal quickly after I took the medicine that day.”
Chu Chen’an said, “That was only a temporary cure; the wound will still rebound once the statute of limitations passes. The fact that you were in so much pain yesterday might be because of this.”
Cheng Hao lowered his eyes and squeezed his hand. “It’s likely that he bought the wrong one.”
“Cheng Hao, he doesn’t deserve your favor.” Chu Chenan said, “If he loved you, he wouldn’t make you suffer so much; this kind of hurt isn’t love at all. Cheng Hao, have you ever thought about leaving him?”
“If it wasn’t for love, I would have left him a long time ago.” Cheng Hao’s eyes reddened as he added, “In fact, I integrated into this circle just for him, just so my relationship with him can be better.”
Chu Chen’an understood.
Cheng Hao longed for death on one side and longed to be loved on the other.
Between the two contradictory ones, he could only choose the cruelest one.
He would give up his body to get the short-lived but still longing love before the pain of death came.
“But do you really love him?” Chu Chen’an said, “Maybe you’re just dependent on him?”
Cheng Hao didn’t reply, and he bowed his head in silence.
Only after a long time did he choke and say, “Thank you for last night, Chen’an.”
“No need to thank me.” Chu Chen’an felt as if he had said too much; he got up. “Then take a good rest first; I’ll come back to see you in the afternoon.”
Cheng Hao nodded, “Okay.”
As soon as Chu Chenan left the hospital gate, he dumped the black Maybach and sent a message to Zhou Qiangshan, “Meet me now; I’m at XX Cafe.”
……
Not what he expected, Zhou Qiangshan quickly came to the appointment, and Chu Chen’an ordered two cups of coffee.
Chu Chenan purposely found a location that was a bit out of the way.
Zhou Qiangshan only took a sip of coffee and started to get straight to the point, “Why would you want to enter this circle?”
Chu Chen’an was prepared and said, “I have depression and have always wanted to die.”
Zhou Qiangshan laughed and rubbed his hands together. “Then you’ve really found the right person; I can totally help you. I can help you free yourself, and I can also make your death worthwhile.”
Zhou Qiangshan began his set of brainwashing words.
“We have a lot of people here who need you badly, and you’re so good-looking, you’ll definitely be very popular.” Zhou Qiangshan continued, “And more importantly, you can completely trust me.”
Chu Chen’an tapped the recorder hidden in his pocket and listened to Zhou Qiangshan ambiguously continue, “I’m experienced, and if we become mates in the future, I can make you feel no pain, and I can also make you get pleasure from it.”
Chu Chenan felt incomparably ironic.
Cheng Hao was in ICU in pain only last night; Zhou Qiangshan even dared to talk.
“But you and Cheng Hao are still together.” Chu Chen’an said.
“He’s going to die soon, probably just a few days after boarding the ship.” Thinking he had a chance, Zhou Qiangshan quickly said, “If you want, I can make him die sooner.”
Chu Chen’an squeezed his hand. “Why on the ship?”
Zhou Qiangshan said, “Every year we hold a party, and this time the location is on a ship. Many people will die voluntarily that day, and Cheng Hao is in it.”
In fact, Cheng Hao never said he wanted to die on the ship.
Chu Chen’an asked, “Are all of them voluntary?”
Zhou Qiangshan nodded, “Of course, we won’t force anyone to die. That’s against the law; we’ll only do what we can to help them and let them leave with value.”
The value in Zhou Qiangshan’s mouth was to allow those on the death list to contribute their bodies, so that those who claimed to be butchers could feast on them.
Chu Chen’an didn’t want to stay any longer, so he put away the recorder. “I’ll go back first.”
“Leaving so soon? Let’s chat some more.” Zhou Qiangshan said.
Chu Chen’an estimated the time; he had been out of sight of that Maybach for two hours.
The driver would soon start looking for him soon.
“No, we’ll chat another day.” Chu Chen’an said as he stood up.
Zhou Qiangshan pestered him, pulling his hand to not let him go, “Don’t go so quickly, ah; we can go to the hotel across the street and let you experience it first; you will definitely like it after you try it…”
Chu Chen’an was trying to break away from his grip, “No need.”
He turned around and didn’t walk a few steps before he saw Qin Jue standing outside the transparent glass door.
Qin Jue was wearing a white shirt and black suit trousers that were neat and tidy; he had one hand in his trouser pocket and was leisurely looking inside; his gaze was gloomy and sharp.
Chu Chen’an immediately panicked.
He wasn’t at all sure at what time Qin Jue came.
He pushed open the glass door and walked towards Qin Jue; his steps seemed to weigh a thousand pounds.
Qin Jue reached out and put his arm around his shoulder. “Is that the friend you were talking about?”
“No, that friend of mine is called Cheng Hao.” Chu Chen’an was worried that Qin Jue would be furious and explained, “He is Cheng Hao’s boyfriend; I helped Cheng Hao yesterday, and his boyfriend just wanted to buy me a cup of coffee to thank me.”
“Oh,” Qin Jue said with a deep smile, “Then get in the car first, baby; I’ll go say hello to him.”
“Huh?” Chu Chen’an blinked in panic and whispered, “No, no need.”
Qin Jue patted his shoulder. “Go; I’ll be here soon.”
Chu Chen’an could only get into the car as he looked through the window at the entrance of the coffee shop.
Zhou Qiangshan just happened to walk out of the coffee shop’s door and met the tall Qin Jue head-on.
Zhou Qiangshan looked at the man in front of him with a terrifyingly powerful aura; he hesitated for half a second and immediately piled up a smile, “General Manager Qin! Why are you here? Are you free? Can you give me the honor of treating you to a meal?”
Qin Jue raised his eyebrows. “You know me?”
Zhou Qiangshan: “You forgot; I came to your product launch last year! My surname is Zhou, Zhou Qiangshan. I am the sales manager of the branch of XX company.”
Qin Di didn’t have much impression and didn’t care, “Oh, you.”
Zhou Qiangshan smiled and nodded his head repeatedly, “General Manager Qin, you ……”
Before he finished his words, he was grabbed by his collar by Qin Jue; he was scared by Qin Jue’s gloomy gaze.
Qin Jue came close to him, with a force so strong that it could break his neck, and said softly with a kind smile, “Hey, I heard that you like to eat human flesh?”
Zhou Qiangshan’s smile froze. “What did you… say?”
Qin Jue laughed a few more times, and his smile made Zhou Qiangshan nervous.
“Aren’t my Chen’an and your boyfriend college classmates? Let’s have dinner together some other day.”
Zhou Qiangshan was dripping with cold sweat as he quickly said, “Okay, okay.”
After he watched Qin Jue’s car leave, he was blocked by a van, his head was covered, and a few people racked him into the car, then threw him into a shady alley and beat him up.
Zhou Qiangshan fell to the ground dying and spat out a lot of blood.
He had two index fingers cut off and three ribs broken.
……
Qin Jue took Chu Chenan to eat lunch at an outside restaurant before returning to the hotel. Chu Chen’an also ate a full lunch and just returned to the hotel not long before he was sleepy again.
When Qin Jue came to the living room after the video conference, Chu Chen’an had already fallen asleep on the sofa.
Qin Jue curled his lips slightly and carried Chu Chen’an on the bed, covering him with the quilt. Qin Jue lowered his head, meticulously tracing Chu Chen’an’s incredibly beautiful features, and the more he looked, the more sweetness flooded his heart.
It was as if they had been in love for a long time.
He rubbed down Chu Chen’an’s brows with his fingertips and looked at him for a long time before branding a kiss on his forehead.
“If you want to be eaten, it’ll be me, but I can’t afford to eat you.”
He was going to hide him well.
……
Qin Jue came to the basement.
In the cold, damp interior, Borek knelt under the hanging platform and watched the bloody scene for six whole hours.
That hanging, flower-armed, strong man had been bleeding profusely since his ears had been cut off, constantly chanting in pain, wailing, and begging for death …
Every minute and every second of those six hours had been extremely difficult.
Borek’s lips shivered, and the first time he saw Qin Jue, he opened his mouth and confessed, “Sir, I did lie to you; please forgive me.”
Qin Jue smiled in satisfaction. “What did you lie about?”
“I hid the real reason for your car accident.” Borek shivered; his legs had knelt until they were numb. “You had a lover three years ago; his name was Chen An. You loved him very much, but he unfortunately passed away, and his remains were preserved intact by you.”
Qin Jue’s smile suddenly disappeared as he said grimly, “Where is it? Take me there now.”
Borek limped and switched on the lights in the basement, stopping in front of an iron door, which was automatically opened after his fingerprint unlocked it.
It was a cold room in which a huge ice coffin had been placed.
He got a good look at the familiar person lying in the ice coffin, and even though the person lying inside only had a six-point resemblance to the current Chu Chen’an, he was able to recognize them with great certainty at a glance.
They were the same person.
The two words “passed away” were like a sharp blade, piercing deep into his heart.
His eyes widened as countless mixed and familiar memories flooded in one after another, and countless visions of Chu Chen’an flashed before his eyes.
There was the way he looked when he cried, the way he looked when he laughed, the way he looked when he was angry, and the way he looked when he stood … in the snow.
Suddenly…
Qin Jue straightened his black hair from his forehead and brushed the disheveled ends of his hair over his eyebrows. He sat down with his body arched, his eyes wide open in shock.
He remembered everything.
It was indeed very cold that day, and Chu Chen’an had actually held an umbrella for him.
He clumsily stood on his tiptoes and shared half of the umbrella with him.
——
There was a light red wound on the abdomen of the person lying down. Qin Jue raised his hand with bare eyes and caressed him through the ice coffin.
His An An had once been stabbed.
It must have hurt a lot.
His baby was usually so afraid of pain.
Qin Jue laughed out loud, a short laugh echoing in the cold chamber; a tear then rolled down the end of his eye.
Borek looked over at Qin Jue; he had never seen Qin Jue cry since he could remember.
This time…
Qin Jue actually cried.
“Why didn’t you say so earlier!”
Qin Jue’s eyes were full of hostility, and he casually smashed the iron chair beside him against the wall beside Borek, and after a loud bang, the iron chair was already smashed out of shape.
An iron bar smashed into Borek’s back, and Borek let out a cry of pain, “I’m so sorry, Master. It was your grandfather who told me to hide it.”
Qin Jue exhaled a ragged breath and turned away urgently; he only wanted to see Chu Chen’an at the moment.
