Chu Chen’an opened his eyes, feeling that his whole body was falling apart. Slightly narrowing his eyes, he realised that a hand firmly held his waist.
He turned his head sideways and his eyes suddenly widened; those ambiguous crazy memories came one after another. He wrinkled his eyebrows and closed his eyes tightly, his earlobes red.
Lan Xu’s face was against his shoulder; his thin lips were slightly pursed; he was sleeping quietly with a satisfied expression.
Chu Chen’an frowned; he tried to gently move a little to the other side, but Lan Xu’s arm immediately tightened; he subconsciously brought him further into his arms, and his cheek rubbed against his shoulder before he continued sleeping.
Chu Chen’an was too scared to move and Lan Xu was a little heavy; his breathing became cautious; he panicked as he looked around the room.
Chu Chen’an secretly glanced at Lan Xu’s back shoulder, which had many scratch marks on it. There was no need to think to know that he had done it himself, which was enough to show how crazy he was last night.
The sky outside the window was still dark, misty, and filled with a cool breeze. His legs and stomach trembled slightly. He didn’t want to reminisce anymore.
He took a deep breath, and after a few minutes of hesitation, he decided to turn on his side again and tried to get out of Lan Xu’s arms by removing his arm.
“You’re awake.” Lan Xu’s gentle voice rang from behind him, frightening Chu Chen’an. He laid back again, being wrapped in Lan Xu’s arms from behind.
Lan Xu kissed his cheek; the smell of hormones around him hadn’t dissipated. He intimately closed his eyes and kissed his shoulder. “Sleep a little more.”
Chu Chen’an’s cheeks were red hot, his red lips were swollen by the kiss, and Lan Xu was like a giant baby pressed on him, making him unable to move.
“Yesterday… yesterday was an accident.” Chu Chen’an wrenched Lan Xu’s hand around his waist and said carefully, “Just pretend it didn’t happen, okay?”
“Don’t.” Lan Xu wrapped Chu Chen’an’s arms around him and pressed down on him. “You promised yesterday that you would be responsible for me.”
Chu Chen’an only wanted to escape reality, blushing anxiously, “I was unconscious; I talked nonsense, and in that situation…”
“I don’t want to hear it.” Lan Xu kissed Chu Chen’an’s neck, “You said it; you can’t back out. Chen’an, you have to be responsible for me; let’s be together.”
Chu Chen’an was caught off guard. What together?
“Now I’m your boyfriend; I’m so happy.” Lan Xu said sweetly, “I like you so much, An An.”
Chu Chen’an remained headstrong. “Let go of me for a moment first.”
“No.” Lan Xu clung to him, and he interlocked their fingers. “Brother may be coming back soon; I want to stay with you all the time; I can’t let him snatch you away.”
Chu Chen’an: “……”
His face was red then white; he frowned, not knowing what to do.
“Do you know why I didn’t recognise you at that time?”
Lan Xu played with his fingers, “Because if you were Chen An, then you’d have to be my little sister-in-law first, but if you’re Chu Chen’an, then you’re mine. I’ve been waiting for you for a long time too; I’m not going to give you up to my brother.”
Chu Chen’an was slightly stunned, his heart was thumping. Lan Xu’s turquoise eyes looked serious; his eyes were like the gentle waves of water reflecting the sky in a lake in a secret realm.
In close proximity, Chu Chen’an increasingly felt Lan Xu’s gentle temptation.
Lan Xu was perfect, possessing a charm that Chu Chen’an couldn’t resist. With just one more word of love, he made Chu Chen’s defence line even more fragile.
He couldn’t go on like this anymore…
Chu Chen’an thought in panic.
Lan Xu also looked straight at him; they stared at each other for a long time.
Lan Xu whispered to Chu Chen’an, “An An, don’t look at me like that; you’re making me want to again.”
Chu Chen’an suddenly returned to his senses, cursed him as a per-vert in his heart, and quickly fled to the other side. Lan Xu held him back and kissed him behind his ear.
“Just once, really, baby, I promise, I promise…”
With that, Chu Chen’an was blocked on the lips again.
He was caught in Lan Xu’s ardour, unable to escape.
The sky gradually dawned, the golden morning light spilt into the floor through the carved wooden windows. A few small finches looking for food flew up to the window sill; they chattered, only to hear sweet hoarse sobbing constantly overflowing from inside the window.
Suddenly a shriek came out, startling one or two of the little finches away. After the shriek, there was a continuous sound of sobbing.
……
Lan Xu called his friend named Wang Ze to fix the car. He was dressed in black clothes and pants, with an expressionless face, and carrying a bag in his hand.
He Xuesheng stood next to him, somewhat afraid to talk.
“The steering wheel, windows, and lights need to be replaced, and the starter needs to be repaired.” Wang Ze packed his bag. “I’ll go get the parts.”
“Okay… Okay.” He Xuesheng asked, “About how long will it take to fix it?”
Wang Ze glanced at him and coldly responded, “Four days at the soonest.”
“So long, ah.” He Xuesheng said in a quiet voice, and he nodded repeatedly, “Then you go first; I’ll wait for you here.”
“Uh-huh.”
Old Liang walked out of the gate and said, “It’s okay for some of the others to back when the car is repaired; it’s just for a few days; there are still wounded on our side, so let’s go back today.”
“Okay, you guys can go back.” He Xuesheng shook his head and applied two bandages to his neck injury. “I’ll wait until this car is fixed.”
“You are… really,” Old Liang gasped and laughed in anger, saying, “As stubborn as my sister!” After he finished, he went back to the room.
After He Xuesheng handed the key over to Wang Ze, he walked upstairs with his small braid. As he passed by the room next to him, he suddenly wrinkled his nose.
He froze and stood in the doorway. “Damn… what smells so stinky, it’s floating to the door.”
There were two men living in this room, people who were travelling with them; both of them were two strong men responsible for carrying filming equipment, and He Xuesheng’s relationship with them was very basic.
He Xuesheng knocked on the door and scolded, “Did you two throw your stinky socks at the door again? This is a bed and breakfast, not your home; pay attention!”
No one responded. He Xuesheng stayed for a few seconds, only to hear a few bursts of rustling in the silent room, and then it quickly returned to calm.
“Sleeping again,” He pressed his ear against the door; there was no sound inside. He muttered, “You guys can sleep to death.”
The fishy smell was getting stronger, like the smell of fish that had been rotting for a long time. He Xuesheng couldn’t stay; he covered his nose and ran back to his room.
He sat at the table and filled himself with two cups of water, and after sighing in relief, he stretched his arms and suddenly felt a sharp pain coming from his neck.
He hissed and put his hand over his neck. “It’s starting to hurt again; it hasn’t gotten better after all this time; it’s fu-cking evil.”
It’d been quiet next door for a long time without any sound. He guess they’d been playing all night again; maybe they’d just fallen asleep now.
He Xuesheng shook his head and didn’t care any more. He drew a few random strokes by the left window, then threw away his paintbrush and ran outside to play.
He Xuesheng went downstairs and greeted the shopkeeper, then strolled leisurely to the central courtyard, surrounded by the homestay in all directions. The first-floor houses were very old and were used to store miscellaneous items, but there were also many strange-shaped, carved wooden decorations inside.
He had been doing this for the past few days, always taking advantage of the shopkeeper’s absence to slip in and enjoy himself like this. The carved wooden decorations and ornaments all had a distinctive foreign style that intrigued him. He looked around like a thief, and seeing no one around, he planned to step over the hurdle and slip inside to have a look around.
He pushed open the door of one of the rooms; inside came a creak of a long sound; the interior light was dark and humid; there was also a vague stench.
He Xuesheng covered his nose as he stood still and looked around before hesitantly taking a few steps forward.
Suddenly, a corner of the wooden floor was buckled by him stepping on it.
“Damn ……”
He lowered his head; he stepped on a very large wooden board covered in old dust; he squatted down and gently lifted a corner; the strong stench instantly hit his face; he almost threw up straight away.
“What are you doing there?” The shopkeeper stood in the doorway and asked indifferently.
He Xuesheng quickly put it back and stood up, “Nothing, nothing; I just came here for a casual look.”
The shopkeeper’s face was expressionless. “There is a lock on the door; how did you come in?”
“Just… a moment ago I saw that the door was open, ah.” He Xuesheng pointed to the door and answered truthfully. In hindsight, feeling the chill on the back of his neck, he laughed dryly, “Shopkeeper, you forgot to lock it; you shouldn’t scare me.”
The shopkeeper didn’t say anything else; instead, he coldly said, “Hurry up and come out.”
He Xuesheng nodded repeatedly and walked out of the room. He watched the shopkeeper lock the door. “You put something under here?”
“Don’t ask what you shouldn’t ask,” the shopkeeper stroked the two handfuls of beard on his atrium. “That’s the cellar where I put vegetables during the winter.”
“Oh, that’s right.” He Xuesheng nodded and didn’t ask any more questions.
……
Two days later in the afternoon, He Xuesheng really couldn’t be bothered; he woke up from his nap and went to find Chu Chen’an again.
Chu Chen’an also just woke up. He finished drinking Congee at noon and went on sleeping all afternoon. There were bruises all over his neck and back shoulder.
Lan Xu not only didn’t get angry but also smiled and hugged him to coax him, and then continued to intensify his movements. In the end, it was still him who suffered the losses.
Lan Huai said he’d come back the day before yesterday, but he hadn’t been back for two days.
Chu Chen’an pouted; he realised that he couldn’t do anything about Lan Xu at all; moreover, he actually got together with Lan Xu in a confused manner!
In the end, what was going on?
When he woke up, he was kissed by Lan Xu and then carried by him to the openwork window by the door to get some air.
The weather had gradually cooled down these days, and there was often a gust of wind in the evening. Lan Xu spread out a blue sheet and wrapped it around him, making his figure look even smaller.
Lan Xu rubbed his face and stuffed a plate of exquisite fruits in his hands. “Sit here and watch the sunset; I’ll go and cook; don’t run around, oh.”
Lan Xu coaxed him like a child, then turned back after entering the kitchen and placed a bottle of flowers on the table in front of him. The light blue fragrance of flowers permeated the air, refreshing and pleasant.
Lan Xu leaned over; he couldn’t help but kiss the corner of Chu Chen’an’s lips twice.
“I’m going.”
Chu Chen’an nodded, pinching a piece of berry and glancing obliquely at the departing Lan Xu. He had underestimated the patience and moderation of a newly se-xually active male, and it seemed like Lan Xu couldn’t leave him for more than half an hour or he would engage in a series of uncontrollable behaviours.
Pe-rverts in love were so scary.
Chu Chen’an could only sit sideways as much as he could, with his legs, stomach, and thighs starting to ache. He slowly picked up a cup of white tea, which was made of white jade porcelain and finely crafted. It felt like an expensive antique, and using it to brew tea was truly a waste of time.
Chu Chen’an gently blew a few sips of tea, took a sip, and the fragrance lingered in his mouth, fresh and sweet. His mood barely improved a bit.
He had just put down his teacup when he saw He Xuesheng’s figure outside the window.
He Xuesheng approached the front door, greeted Chu Chen’an, and trotted over to sit across from Chu Chen’an.
“Oh, you’ve been living a good life these days, “He Xuesheng said as Chu Chen’an placed a table of fruit pastries in front of him. He Xuesheng took a white pastry and asked, “By the way, how is the woman you asked us to take back?”
Chu Chen’an put his blanket on the chair and pulled up his high collar, feeling a little guilty. “I haven’t seen her these two days. She should be in no danger.”
“Oh, that’s fine.” He Xuesheng nodded, his eyes pointedly glimpsed the red marks on Chu Chen’an’s neck. “How come you haven’t gone out much in the past few days?”
Chu Chen’an laughed dryly, “Haven’t I?”
He Xuesheng ate another piece of pastry. “Holy sh*t, this snack is really good! Lan Xu’s food is so good. The car will be repaired in a few days; I’m afraid you’ll only be able to leave by then.”
Chu Chen’an pursed his lips then smiled, “Okay.” He couldn’t leave.
Although he knew that he couldn’t leave, and He Xuesheng stayed here so that he could take him with him, the woman at Wu Yaoguan’s place had to leave.
The undamaged car could only carry eight people, and she didn’t know how to drive, so she had to wait for someone to pick her up. Therefore, she could only leave here after the car was repaired.
Then his temporary mission would be fully accomplished.
“Why do I feel like your voice is muffled?” He Xuesheng was naturally relaxed and poured himself a cup of tea. “Cold?”
“It’s ……” Chu Chen’an ate half a piece of strawberry. “It’s almost meal time, right?” Hurry back to eat.”
“What’s wrong, I’m not allowed to come here to eat?” He Xuesheng was just playing. He really didn’t dare to stay at Lan Xu’s house to eat. He felt scared whenever he saw Lan Xu.
“An An, come and help me tie my apron.” Lan Xu called him intimately in the kitchen.
Chu Chen’an secretly scolded him in his heart; he stole a glance at He Xuesheng, whose face was full of questions, and got up and walked to the kitchen with difficulty.
Lan Xu was wearing a dark black apron, his back facing Chu Chen’an. “Help me tie it; my hands are wet.”
Chu Chen’an had to go forward and tie it for him. Lan Xu turned around and kissed Chu Chen’an’s moist lips. “Thank you, dear.”
“It’s always me kissing you; kiss me too.” Lan Xu bent down, his face close to his.
Chu Chen’an only hesitated for two seconds but Lan Xu’s eyes darkened, and he asked despondently, “Do you still want to renege? You don’t intend to keep your promise. You don’t want to be with me, do you?”
Chu Chen’an looked at the sudden change in his eyes and felt that Lan Xu would do some k-illing and arson in the next moment. His earlobes turned red; Lan Xu had been like this for the past two days. He couldn’t resist it at all.
“No, I didn’t…” He stood helplessly on his tiptoes and planted a kiss on Lan Xu’s cheek, whispering soothingly, “Someone’s there.”
Lan Xu was happy; he asked softly, “So what were you talking to him about just now? I want to know.”
Chu Chen’an blushed and lowered his head. “I didn’t say anything; it was just a casual conversation.”
Lan Xu refused to stop, “Then I want to hear what it was that you were casually chatting about.”
“He was just coming to tell me that the car is almost fixed, and then he said he really liked the pastries you made.” Chu Chen’an finished truthfully, stealing a glance at Lan Xu.
“Oh,” Lan Xu chuckled. “So do you like them?”
Chu Chen’an saw that he didn’t react too much to the car repair, then he was relieved. How dare he say he didn’t like it? He nodded, “I like it.”
“Then I’ll make it again tomorrow.” Lan Xu wiped his hands clean and held his shoulders.
Chu Chen’an lowered his eyes in confusion, watching him wipe his hands clean, and only then did he realize. Why did he still need to help him tie it when he could clean his hands?
Lan Xu wrapped his arm around him and went to the kitchen door. “He Xuesheng, if you like pastries, you can take more back.”
“Aiya, no need, no need!”
He Xuesheng stood up and looked at the hand he placed on Chu Chen’an’s shoulder, a little surprised. “What’s that, you guys? You guys have become so close, huh?”
Chu Chen’an’s heartbeat thumped faster. Lan Xu wrapped his arm around his shoulder and said directly, “I’m with An An.”
“Oh, congratulations, ah!” Xuesheng froze for two seconds before reacting. He seemed to hear five roaring sounds; this was a knowledge blind spot for him as a straight man.
“What what… together? You two?”
Male???
“Yes.” Lan Xu smiled sweetly; the grim smile in his eyes sent chills down his back. “You’ll be invited to our wedding in the future.”
“Okay….” He Xuesheng stood up and laughed dryly, “Congratulations, ah, I see that you two are a good match! Haha.”
The way Lan Xu looked at him creeped him out. He Xuesheng didn’t dare to stay much longer; he moved to the front door and waved at them, “I should go back for dinner, so I’ll leave first.”
“You’re not staying to eat together?” Lan Xu asked.
“No, no, no, I have an appointment with Old Liang; you guys eat; I’m leaving first.” He Xuesheng’s face was about to stiffen from his fake wide smile. He hurriedly slipped out of the door after speaking.
Chu Chen’an raised his eyes and gave Lan Xu a sidelong glance.
He wouldn’t even believe him if he said it wasn’t intentional.
“What’s wrong? I was entertaining your friend,” Lan Xu innocently added. “If he won’t eat, then we’ll eat by ourselves.”
Chu Chen’an hummed lightly.
Lan Xu said, “Quickly guess what I made?”
Chu Chen’an’s attention was diverted, and he sniffed the aroma coming out of the kitchen. “You made… tomato beef brisket soup?”
“Yes, there’s also the coronary noodles that you love to eat.” Lan Xu took him to wash his hands, holding both of his hands and washing them meticulously. “I’ll give you a serving after you wash your hands.”
Chu Chen’an reluctantly wiped his hands clean.
Forget it.
He’d get back to him after eating.
Chu Chen’an drank a small bowl of tomato soup; his lips were stained with a circle of red, and he didn’t even realise it; he was still chewing like a hamster; it was especially cute.
Lan Xu smiled so much as he bent down and wiped his mouth clean with a tissue. He also picked up a lot of vegetables for him and fed him with a spoon, “Have another bowl, Anan.”
Chu Chen’an took a sip and said, “No more.”
This person was really annoying.
He was laughing when he glanced at a purple hem that appeared in the doorway; the spoon he was carrying froze, and his eyes suddenly darkened. “Brother?”
“What?” Chu Chen’an’s head was lowered to eat a bite of fish fillet; he quickly raised his eyes.
Lan Huai had returned?
He looked not far away. Lan Huai was slowly walking in, wearing a purple robe. The same face as Lan Xu’s was cold and indifferent. When he looked at Chu Chen’an, he showed a gentle smile.
Lan Xu said quietly, “You came back so early, ah.”
“Well, I let you down.” Lan Huai sat on Chu Chen’an’s side, which was opposite Lan Xu.
Lan Huai reached out and held Chu Chen’an’s small hand, “I’m back.”
Lan Xu stared at Chu Chen’an’s hand that was being held, coldly smiling as he grabbed Chu Chen’an’s shoulder.
“Brother, you just came back, and you must be quite tired. Take a good rest first; I’ll take care of An An.”
Lan Huai was straightforward: “In the future, An An will sleep with me at night.”
“On what grounds?” Lan Xu locked eyes with him. “An An is with me now; isn’t that right, An An?”
The atmosphere became scorched; it felt like sparks could burst out from their stares. Chu Chen’an was in a dilemma at this moment, with cold sweat on his palms.
Finallyyy, he’s backk!!
